Re: Div III Reg. 11
Here's the official write-up from the professionals:

Doesn't say much, LOL.
I think the closeness is probably over-stated. If the two teams play head to head mistake free ball with no big plays, I think DeSales wins by 7-10. Just too much size and talent all around. DeSales lost on total arrogance and a trick play in 2014 and learned their lesson from it. The Hawks don't have anything new that the Stallions haven't seen before. It's the same run it at you non-stop and dare you to stop us offense they've been running for a decade. Sure, it works, but it isn't unstoppable. The two out of state DeSales losses were flukes, and they're a better team now with the four-star kid from Olentangy. That Hawks are a much improved team compared to the week 1 loss against Toledo Central Catholic. The line is executing exceptionally well, and we're getting great production from a whole stable of running backs. Whatever we lost in on field leadership with Ruby, we've gained in two quarterbacks with good fundamental mechanics who can throw across the body on the run with strength and accuracy in that annoying play action rollout we call about five times per game. Barring the usual stupidity (drive killing penalties, turnovers, blown coverage) and injuries that makes both teams lose more often than they ought but not as often as SEO would like, it should be a good game with the Stallions just outlasting little bro once they overcome their irritation with the scrappy east siders playing like they're equals.

Unless DeSales beats Winton Woods (which would be an upset), I think they are not making top 8 in Region 11.

I haven't done any calculations, but I feel like that Independence win over Marion-Franklin might be a bad thing for Jackson.

Teams that will be IN for sure.
Bellefontaine
Hartley
Marion Franklin
Independence
Tri-Valley
New Philly, Granville, Jackson, DeSales need to win out most likely to get it. Obviously 1 of them does not make it. All still have big games.

Marion Franklin and Independence both still have to play walnut Ridge. One other those could still lose.teach1coach2 wrote: Fri Oct 13, 2017 11:00 pm Teams that will be IN for sure.

Re: Div III Reg. 11
Hartley win helps with the DeSales problem lol, or at least for this week. Something tells me they may upset Winton Woods who lost a close one to Elder, just have one of those feelings, and if so they are in top 8 easy.
Independence win clouds up some things it would seem.
I don't know but Ironmen need two more wins and then let the chips fall, FAC Championship would be nice, that is goal.
I am a big fan of Gallia, Wellston, Fairfield Union and Western Brown for a couple weeks. A Western Brown win over Batavia in Week 10 would be good news. Wellston was projected to lose against Athens so that would have been big if they could of pulled the upset, Gallia loss to RH hurt.

Tri-Valley D2 if no competitive balance? Have you seen the real R7 D2. I'd rather be in that region this year

I have a feeling New Philadelphia will get rolled by Dover. Both will be around 19 points. If Dover can get in at the 8, they will beat the #1 seed

I feel Jackson will lose to Chillicothe. Athens will lose to NY. New Philia will lose to Dover. Desales will lose to WW. Walnut Ridge could beat Marion Franklin and Independence
