If he makes Minford that much better then why has he not played until week 10?

The Falcon program appears to be in great turmoil and at this point I do not know what the answer is, however I feel Ruby needs at least 3 years for a fair shake to establish at least one movement forward in the plan of the regime.

Minford got killed by injuries before the season even started. As of right now they are starting 3 sophomores and a freshman. Losing 2 starters before the season even started and then losing a starter the first game to a knee injury. Then another to a torn hamstring in the 3rd game now they lost a 3 year starter during the waverly game to another knee injury not making excuses but that is hard mentally on a team.

But I believe Ruby will be on the hot seat next year if things don't improve.

Ruby and the Falcons need to win to set the tone for the off-season. Any truth to the rumor I heard at Giovannis that the young QB(freshman) will be gripping and ripping it tomorrow evening? I have heard great things about him since junior high, I hope it's true, I for one will be looking forward to seeing how he throws the football across the yard. Good Luck Falcons!

The old junior high legend. If memory serves me right, wasn’t he old for an eighth grader?FalconFever02 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 8:10 pm Ruby and the Falcons need to win to set the tone for the off-season. He must be really really old for a Wheelersburg fan to say he's old.

Nope. Heard tonight that it's the same show as last week. One would think that after throwing 4 picks last week, the preseason agreement to start him at QB would be null and void.FalconFever02 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 8:10 pm Ruby and the Falcons need to win to set the tone for the off-season. One of many reasons they are not winning. That being said, I think Valley wins this one.
As a coach you're either playing to win or you are making accommodations and selling your soul to make people happy. Not hard to see here. Seems to be a trend at Minford nowadays, not just football. And no I don't have a kid playing football. Just an honest observation from an alum that would love to see the program succeed again. Combine that with only one lineman that can bench press over 200 lbs and you've got major issues
I'd say if anyone cares at the top anymore, the seat is already hot. They seem more concerned with getting their people in there than winning. Future Northwest and Rock Hill issues have made it to Muletown. If you follow area sports closely, you'll get that comment.

I agree as a head coach you have to do what's best for the team and not worry about parents being mad.Bleeding Red wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 11:29 pmNope. Actually he's 35 and recently divorced with two kids. Come on folks. Every one of our players are within OHSAA rules. Jealousy rears it ugly hear once again. Even our younger players were whipping your starters when we played BOTH teams. Well back to the purpose of this thread. Minford should pull out this victory. But it is a toss up between two down but proud programs. Hope for a injury free game. The Oaf wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2017 6:40 amI bet those Gatorade coolers are filled with ensure!Bleeding Red wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 11:21 pm

For real. Wheelersburg has players as old as college sophomores. Minford gets a good player and the burg fan says he's old. Same one that talks about hairy middle schoolers dominating.
I remember the 08 class for West had 5 kids held back in 8th grade. Whole county cried about it to the point West changed the whole policy on holding back your kids. Wheelersburg has players almost 20 and "he's legal".

Very true. The kid was driving in 8th grade. Just facts. Its no secret and any Burg fan on here will try to shut down that conversation really quick.Westfan wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2017 1:27 pmThe Oaf wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2017 6:40 amI bet those Gatorade coolers are filled with ensure!Bleeding Red wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 11:21 pm

Not saying its not within the rules because they know how to play the game very well. Who can be held back based on birthday...he is good....no he will be to old...blah blah.
Dont hate when its the truth lol.
Still going with Valley in this one. Things are busting apart at the seams in Falcon land. Sure hope I am wrong.....
