I like that the series has become more competitive over the years. All jokes aside about coaches kids and big fish small pond. I'd rather play teams that you know year in and year out that it will be comptetitive and not be marked off as an "easy" win.

What's really interesting about this series is for three years, 2009-11, all three games were decided by 5 total points. That's ultra competitive. I'm also glad for both communities that this game was moved from week one, to mid-season to last game of the year. I think that's what made the series even better for both schools, close in proximity and the implications this game has had on both team's seasons since 2009.

Athens has some solid kids for the next couple years.
I talk a little bit of trash and have a little fun week 10 every year but at the end of the day it's more often than not a great game.

2008 Athens was about to take the lead. 1st and goal from the 4. 106 yard interception
2009 Athens dominated every aspect. NY scored off a very late interception
2010 Athens fumbled late
2011 NY missed an extra point to win the game. Athens won in OT
2012-2015 Then Joe beat NY 4 straight years. Yes Joe had NY so shook he even beat NY when he was at OSU
Last year wore out Athens with 5th year seniors.

He always talked about watching the games in the dog pound down there years ago. Where is that exactly O&B, on the facility or close by where you can see the game? Haven't talked to him for a great while but he never really said where it was.

I really thinks Athens wins this game, they have found a decent defense and I think match up against NY well. I will be in the minority and take the Bulldogs in this one. May end up getting them a playoff spot as well, never know.

It's right next to the stadium. It's on private property. Honestly, I'm not sure how they can see that much of the game from there. I'm guessing the beer helps
