I think Fort Frye power game is just going to tear them down. Fort Frye defense is the real deal the varsity D has only allowed 2 scores since half time of week 3. Coming into last week they had the number 1 defense in ppg allowed at 7.6

Fort Frye has just got better every week the improvement from the week 2 loss to Northridge to now is so dramatic.

Biggest key is stopping Meechie Johnson, obviously. Do that and Northmor is dead in the water.
I think his LOWEST rushing total for 4 quarters in somewhere around 165. He averages around 250 a game and 12 a carry.

Fort Frye has 3 RBs combining to rush for about 215 a game. Also don’t sleep on the Cadets passing game.icanpickem wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2017 11:06 am Biggest key is stopping Meechie Johnson, obviously. Do that and Northmor is dead in the water.

Northmor's pass defense sucks, thats why Danville and East Knox beat them.
Ek's QB was 17-31 330 yds with 5 tds against northmor (including an 89 td pass with 2 minutes to go to win)
Danville QB was 20-24 for 343 yds

Those are great numbers for a back. FF defense is experienced and very disciplined. Haven’t seen Johnson play but those numbers will be hard to come by against this defense. Need a very quick and agile O’line against them

Fort Frye line isn’t big but they are playing great as a group.

If Fort Frye doesn’t turn it over they should win this game. Northmor was actually outgained in the 54-26 win over winless Mt Gilead. MT Gilead much like Danville and East Knox had a fantastic night passing the ball. The Cadets are going to need to pass the ball like they did last week. I think the 4-4 front that Fort runs is very good for stopping Meechie.

It's easy to feel confident after a big win. SCC got one-dimensional and was easier to stop. Meechie sounds like a special player. If this kid can hit 50% of his passes, defense will get a lot tougher.

Cadets just need to play base 4-4 and make him throw. The DBs for the Cadets are fast and can cover one on one.

7 passes a game - about like Fort Frye
Coach Huck is never going to go into a game intending to win by throwing. You could have Jr. Hi players back there, and Fort Frye would call about 8 pass plays. What will matter is how well they can stop the run.

If you throw it 8-9 times and 3 go for Tds like last week it’s still valuable. Tate passed for almost a 1000 yards that’s double what Northmor passed for. Also Tate threw for 1600 last season.

As stated earlier Fort needs to keep turnovers to a minimum. I would guess Fort is going to need to be able to throw the football, which some have already stated they can which is good. Main thing I would say about Fort in this one, is that they need to simply not panic when they run into trouble early, and trouble is something that is going to be inevitable in this one. Not saying Fort can't win it, just saying both teams are going to have their turns of success and I doubt it is easy for either team. If I had to make a pick it woud be Northmor 42-28.

I highly doubt Northmor scores 42 points. They are run heavy and Fort Frye is very good at stopping the run. 42 points would be double what any team has scored on them all season. Fort going into last week was 1st in the state in points allowed.Stan_Marsh wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2017 12:21 pm As stated earlier Fort needs to keep turnovers to a minimum. Good point, fair enough. If Fort Frye can manage to hold this O to anything less than 30 I will certainly tip my hat to them. Not saying they can't, just saying it would be impressive.

Can’t miss tackles which is easier said then done on Meechie.Stan_Marsh wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2017 12:49 pm Good point, fair enough. If Fort Frye can manage to hold this O to anything less than 30 I will certainly tip my hat to them. Not saying they can't, just saying it would be impressive.
