Re: Round 1 Playoffs DIII , R11 #7 (8-2) Jackson @ #2 (8-1) Independence
Jackson always fields a good physical team. I think they've got an outside shot at the upset. Independence has a ton of talent and speed, but I'll give the same hope that I did with MF/TV - Independence can be sloppy, un-disciplined, and impatient. Less so this season though. The coach is Maurice Douglas - good guy - not the Trotwood guy, ha ha. Smart and has done wonders given the adversity he has there. For fans, the neighborhood isn't great. Eat in roundtown if you're coming up 23 and Canal if you're coming 33. Safe travels!

Sounds like the Ironmen are the walking wounded (and some not walking unless with crutches I guess). Without the McCoy kid this is a tough match-up, but if Independence is primarily a run team I think the Ironmen can keep it close.

Even without mccoy jackson does not win this game. They do how ever make it a game. here it comes playoff envy lol. No simply stating your not as good as independence but neither is 90% of the teams in seo. I mean ironton would probably smash em

#2 is a very good rb, they have a very big o line
Re: Round 1 Playoffs DIII , R11 #7 (8-2) Jackson @ #2 (8-1) Independence
Demontae Taylor. Looks like he has rushed for about 2,100 yards and 21 TDs this season. Sounds like he's very talented for sure.

Get there early Jackson fans independence doesn’t have may visitor stands. You could end up sitting on independence side too.

When Johnstown played them it was the very first game of the season and we switched a lot of players around after but they still beat us bad
Independent did not have a big fan turnout at the game

I thought that was a fluke game until they beat MF and Walnut Ridge. Probably best team Jackson has played so far this year. Hopefully they are looking ahead to Hartley14svt wrote: Mon Oct 30, 2017 10:16 pm When Johnstown played them it was the very first game of the season and we switched a lot of players around after but they still beat us bad

For what it is worth the score was 6 to 0 at half. Independence scored on a broken play where the RB was stopped right and ran back left to the end zone. Johnstown offense had lost a lot and #12 was doing a decent job with the offense, but Johnstown kept shooting themselves in the foot or turning the ball over couldn't get the running game going. The defense was left on the field way too long. The game was 14 to 0 with Johnstown in the Red Zone in the 3rd quarter I think almost 4th quarter. Independence did not take it off the gas and run it up to 34 to 0 before Jtown scored. Johnstown has been a different team on O since then.
