For anyone not able to make it to the game, here is a link to listen live online to the broadcast: https://network1sports.com/station/wxiz

I'm curious to see how the Tigers come out, will they be defeated mentally before the first snap or will they come out wanting revenge? I'm hoping for the latter, but we will see. I know their RB Genslinger is a beast, he took it to us last year and I would not be surprised if the same thing happened tonight. Waverly cannot have missed tackles against this kid, he will make you pay big time. I think we need to be very vertical to have a chance, use our speed on the outside to our advantage. I don't know how well the running game will work against these guys, I look for us to try to establish Kritzy early but if that well is dry I hope we don't keep going back to it all game. Valley View needs to make some mistakes and the Tigers have to play nearly perfect for us to come back to Waverly with a W. But it could very well happen!

If Waverly can put them in 3 and long situations it will give the Tigers a great advantage in this game. VV does not do well in those situations. The tigers defense must stay with their assignments and WRAP THE RUNNER.

Tiger defense MUST limit the big play, and like Sports-Nut said, force 3rd and long.
Tigers will be pulling out all the stops - at this point you have to.

No doubt the best team the Tigers have played all season. Very stout defense and an offense that comes at you at all angles. This Valley View team should go far in the tournament.

I think Waverly needs to avoid this VV team.

We never played well against any good teams this year (played decent against West). You have to make plays in big games...this team kind of shrunk under the bright lights. We must have dropped a dozen passes, were throwing the ball up for grabs like we were doing Hail Mary drills, and tackled like we were wearing blindfolds. That being said, Valleyview is a really good team that I think is far from finished this year. I don’t think we beat them even if we played better, but we don’t get embarrassed.

GVV was superior in every way over the Tigers. Yet the Waverly faithful should be proud of what the team accomplished in 2017. Despite what in reality were over optimistic preseason expectations, the Tigers won seven games and qualified for the playoffs despite inexperience and injury. They beat the teams they were supposed to beat and split with Fairland and West, games that could have gone either way. Job well done Waverly, next season starts Monday.

I think the expectations were high coming into this year, and I think they should have been with what we had returning. In fact, I think expectations should be high every year. That’s how great teams turn into great programs, and I think holds true at any level and in any sport. Not that football is the most important thing in the world, but I think that’s where communities like Burg and other great sports towns (like Columbus for Buckeye football) separate themselves from many. They do have expectations and it carries down to their athletes.

I’m very proud of the effort of my Tigers; I just feel bad for them b/c I felt this group had some more in the tank. I love this group of seniors and will miss them dearly. Congrats to Valleyview....really nice team and a class act!

After watching week 2 against Zane Trace my prediction for Waverly was 7-3 which I was right on the money and they lost to the teams I figured they'd lose to. The chips fell the right way and they found themselves in the playoffs for a 2nd year in a row, unfortunately it was against a very well coached team in VV who just doesn't make mistakes. Your group of seniors should be proud of what they were able to accomplish through their 4 years they really brought Waverly football back to life. Congrats to them and if I'm thinking correctly come next year waverly will be fielding a Very young squad.
