I didn't realize it was a cliche competition. I am very impressed you can type at all while you hold those pom poms.

Re: Round 2 D6 region 23 Fort Frye @ Nelsonville-York (at New Lex)
I've been reading what's been going down and I have to say I'm a little disappointed in the Nelsonville Fans here first of all it's the playoffs the teams we will be playing from now on are the best of the best and I have to say that Fort Frye will be tough, just looking at past matches 21-0 (Nelsonville over Trimble) 31-10 (Waterford over Trimble) 23-19 (Fort Frye over Waterford) We beat Trimble by 21 as did Waterford however Fort Frye beat Waterford. I honestly think this football game will go to who's offense can get through the opposing team's defense the best because Fort Frye and Nelsonville both have solid defenses. I am still predicting Nelsonville on top but not by 21, not even by 14 but by 7. My final score prediction is Nelsonville over Fort Frye 21-14

At this point it's a crap shoot and whoever makes the least mistakes and avoids untimely penalties will win. There are no gimmies from this point forward, so play well and enjoy any icing on the cake.
Go Bucks.

I'm sure ny has got a lot better also see you on friday
Re: Round 2 D6 region 23 Fort Frye @ Nelsonville-York (at New Lex)
I look for this to be a tougher game than some might think. Ft. Frye has been very good the last few years and the team they beat Friday only lost to Danville by 7 points. Danville is a major powerhouse! I will pick N-Y in a tight one but wouldn't be surprised if they lost. Good Luck N-Y

The difference being They played Danville on a dry field and FF in a mud fest. I'll take NY on the turf with a running clock if they're healthy. I've heard there are a few banged up. Same thing next week too.EasternDspy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 3:03 pmYea they scored 34 on Danville and 0 on Fort Frye.cbolt wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 1:51 pm I look for this to be a tougher game than some might think. Haha dry field Fort Frye probably throws for 250 or more. Fort Frye is better then Northmor.Binary wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2017 3:34 pmThe difference being They played Danville on a dry field and FF in a mud fest. Re: Round 2 D6 region 23 Fort Frye @ Nelsonville-York (at New Lex)
Interesting tidbit on Fort Frye........
In the early 1970s, Fort Frye was invited to join the TVC and accepted the invitation, but never actually joined. I never found out why they changed their mind. I did find the newspaper articles on Fort Frye being invited and accepting the invite when I researched NY football scores on microfilm several years ago at Alden Library. The article that talked about one of the four NY vs. FF football games from that period indicated that it would become a league contest the following year, but that never happened.
In an alternate universe, this would have been an all-TVC showdown in the playoffs.
