Re: #4 Fort Frye vs. #1 Nelsonville-York
Off topic questions, but where did fort Frye play Newark catholic last year, and what's the furthest ff has ever made it in the playoffs?

Re: #4 Fort Frye vs. #1 Nelsonville-York
Farthest they ever made it was last years regional final @ Zanesville vs Newark Catholic. Last year was actually the first time ever a Washington County school won a playoff game and Waterford and FF both won 2. Fort Frye program is building 5th playoff appearance in 6 years. This is special because other then those 5 playoff appearances Fort Frye has only made 1 time in 2000 a home Loss to Northridge.
Re: #4 Fort Frye vs. #1 Nelsonville-York
This will be one of the maybe 2 more games left before Nelsonville gets exposed and embarrassed.
Re: #4 Fort Frye vs. #1 Nelsonville-York
If NY makes it that far, no matter the result, wouldn’t be embarrassed. Pretty good year if you ask me. Besides 81, would be one of the best in school history.

After five games your team had already been exposed and you knew you had five games left.

vike 73 sounds unhappy that his team is setting at home weeks 11 and 12

Re: Round 2 D6 region 23 Fort Frye @ Nelsonville-York (site to be determined)
The four playoff teams on Fort Frye's schedule this year have averaged 10 points per game. Given Nelsonville's all around talent, 24 seems like a reasonable number to me.
If I were going to predict a score, it wouldn't be much different from this. It does fill me with hope that Fort Frye has beaten Calpreps' predictions by quote a bit lately.
I strongly believe both teams will be within 10 points of that prediction.

At this point in the season a win is a win no matter what the final score is.
I'm sure the cold weather will play into this one Friday night.

I agree. Anything can happen at this point in the season. While NY is favored to win the game and the region the following week, anything can happen at this point.Orange and Brown wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2017 11:59 am At this point in the season a win is a win no matter what the final score is.

Was the last time that Nelsonville played a PVC team the 1st round loss to Monroe Central in 2003? That game was 9-7. Josh Itscy with the Td followed by a missed Nelsonville FG.

Guys this is simple.
NY enjoys a running clock in the second half because that is a hallmark of our program.
Buckeyes 55
The Fort 6

While I'd feel a whole lot better if this was the score, I don't think it will be a lopsided game.Pitstop Billy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2017 2:47 pm Guys this is simple.

I honestly see a running clock till at least the state semis. We run the "WHEATIES DEFENSE" and we cant be stopped.

I have no idea what the "Wheaties Defense" is, but the region is very weak so I can see a running clock this week and next. Then reality kicks in.Pitstop Billy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2017 2:51 pm I honestly see a running clock till at least the state semis. We run the "WHEATIES DEFENSE" and we cant be stopped.
