Re: SOC 1
Eastern and East both have some good talent coming back. I think New Boston should be improved and win some games, along with Western. Going off what everyone has back I think Eastern is the front runner.

Re: SOC 1
1. Eastern-Coach Barrick will have his team ready to capture the SOC I crown. 3rd year in his system, along with a great PG and 2 bigs ( Miller & Weaver)
2. East-Could go down to the 4 spot, just depends how this team deals with losing Akia. Flannery will be their guys this year, but not as explosive as Akia.
3. New Boston- Could also move up to 2, but no lower than 4. With the "transfers" they got, it will boost their depth. Can they play physical or get pushed around like they have in years past?
4. Green- They were in majority of their games last year, but could not finish. Maybe this year they get over the hump and finish. Who else will step up a long side Kimbler and Carver.
5. Western- Losing Purdue hurt. Having Coach Fitch will always have them in the ball game though. They could easily be a top 3 team.
6.Symmes Valley- Not sure they have, but I do believe they have a couple kids returning.
7. Clay/- I look for Clay and ND to battle for the 7th spot. Both teams lost everyone, but I may have to give the edge to Clay due to their returning JV Players a long with Cline who played well in their tournament run.
8. Notre Dame- Lost everything and JV was not real competitive. Depends on how quick their "youngsters" can develop. The freshman class is talented but awful young to compete right now.
Players of the Year: Miller-Eastern Pike

Eastern
East
New Boston
Green
That's my top 4, New Boston and Green will both be improved this year. 5-8 could go anyway, with Western losing Purdue and Dunn, and SV having Angelo go back to Coal Gove hurts those teams a lot.

Overall, league is way down from last 2 years. Only gonna get worse with Eastern going SOC II in 2019.*

East will also be without Scott, along with losing Brown and Lowe....I look for them to be middle of the pack

Big time drop off from the past few years. Eastern wins, but D3 will be a tough step up for the Eagles.

Re: SOC 1
A bit of change within the SOC 1. I think it's going to be good to see the likes of NB and Green competing and doing well within the conference. Those teams haven't been on a great run for some time but glad to see those two programs doing better and turning things around. Eastern will continue to be the cream of the crop, but should be some great SOC 1 games this year just like it has the past few years.

Re: SOC 1
I think everyone expected eastern to be the top of the conference . Good to see new Boston having a nice year . Western pike is a surprise to me with all they lost due to transfers (Perdue to piketon and Dunn to Waverly ). Looking through the thread most had the Indians on the lower half of the conference . Coach fitch does an excellent job.
