Hate when I’m wrong but man I don’t remember that at all. Before that nothing since 2010 thoughdoubleplay643 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2017 10:13 amWe did host a regional semi-final last year (NY vs. Wheelersburg), but I agree Alumni Stadium would be a great place for a regional championship game. Hopefully we put in to host, if so, I think it ends up here.

BuckeyeFan55 - I didn’t ask the original question about the name. ArmChairQb posed it.
They can call themselves anything they want. The only issue I see is it seems like a missed chance to fully honor the fallen World War I veterans (Homer Dawson and Curtis Bryant) the district is named in memory of. Seems fitting to honor their sacrifice fully.
Happy Veterans Day!

Back before the early 90’s you and Coal Grove elementary, Middle and High Schools. Coal Grove elementary got shutdown, along with Andis Elementary and consolidated with Deering Elementary. When this happened, The schools adopted the Dawson Bryant Local School District, naming the district from two veteran graduates of the school district, because of the elementary school, being outside Coal Grove (Deering) So, I would say that’s why we are still called the Coal Grove Hornets by many, because Coal Grove is the name of the village, and the change to Dawson Bryant Local didn’t happen till later. Hope this puts this conversation away.

The district was named Dawson-Bryant a long long time before those elementary schools were consolidated.

Re: Coal Grove vs. Nelsonville-York @ Jackson
why would they do that have Region 21 vs Region 23 instead of Region 21 vs Region 22 and Region 23 vs Region 24

Week 14 becomes about driving distance and then about who State wants in finals.
