I am expecting some major speed out of JM.
With all the talk on Rushing and speed, i think Burg will give up some yards and TD's

But if JM cant stop Burg's rush and cant contain Butter, then punch for punch Burg wins

Why does everyone keep saying if Salyers can't scramble Burg won't be able to throw the ball. That's funny right there I don't care who you are.


How many times has he hit Butter on a quick slant or bubble screen and he takes it to the house?? Many!!!

He doesn't need time he just needs to put the ball where the receivers can catch it. He needs to be accurate!!!

Burg has SO many weapons I can't see JM stopping them. If Burg can't stop JM running the ball it will be a shootout. If they can stop the run it will be a blowout.

I know our DL is going to play a big part in this. But I think our LB’s and secondary are going to be the difference. Containing the backside is key. That QB will pull it and take off the other way if nothing is there. The Sheriff and Keeney will have to stay home and attack the backside. The pass will be a concern if our safety is pinning his ears back and playing run first. Overall I think Burg will slow down the Johnnies. They have yet to see a Defense such as this.

I think they are putting too much stock in a surprise passing game from JM. . They have done a pretty good job all year. Not going to knock it. It’s the first time anyone has went above and beyond for our area teams. Ben Spicer and Kevin Colley are spearheading this thing and I appreciate it. Keep up the good work. But next time a Scioto Countian picks against a Scioto County team. Just kick them off the set.

Burg Seniors taking the field tonight in their 13th Playoff game during their High School careers. 13 playoff games in 4 years is basically an extra year and a half of football played. With a combined four-year record of 48-4, they will be ready for tonight.

Each of their 4 losses (Jackson, Bishop Hartley in OT, Coldwater, Coshocton) were extremely difficult to swallow but extremely important learning opportunities. The Coshocton loss seemed like yesterday, and these boys haven't forgotten that feeling they've re-lived over the past 52 weeks.
