it's so nice to see water on this end. if it weren't for the actual depth. you'd think things were fine here. finally they shut the gate. let's get this dang berm project done and get this lake back to normal. there are always tons of duck n geese around the dock swimming now. because the water is shallow and warms up quicker.you should hear them after dark, it's deafening.
but we love it.
when the lake gets back i'll start feeding them and put catfish food out to draw in some lunkers.

we've just had a couple of gorgeous sunny days here at the lake. the geese n ducks are loving it here on this shallow end. can't wait to get this situation resolved. if anybody hears anything further about the fix let me know.
and i'll do the same.

Good to hear the geese and ducks have some water to play in. Don't know how much good it would do, but on the show Gold Rush, those big retaining ponds they use, they rely on rich textured natural silt to hold water most of the time. Holds water tight. One pond on the show they had to use big rolls of tarp because the silt wasn't present. Don't know if they could pump some muddy silt along the banks and where it is leaking would help the lake out or not, Bait. Lakes are probably a little different story.

that sounds like a novel idea. they could dredge this end and put it on the other. I love those Alaska shows, all of em. I've watched all of em for many years. that could make this end deeper and be a possible solution to the other end. you know I'm going to suggest that, because it may not be as crazy as it sounds. it may be a breakthrough that we're looking for.
