Over 1,600...

Post by seofan_via_dublin »

...Days since Michigan last beat the Buckeyes in football.

As of April 23, 2008 the number is 1,611 days.

By the time The Game comes around this year the count will be over 1,800.

Go Buckeyes

I know you guys are enjoying your domination of us (as you should), but you still need about 7 more years of domination to enjoy the domination that Michigan went through.

This was a period of complete domination.

85, 86, 88 OSU finished7th in Big Ten, 89, 90, 91, 92 tied, 93, 95, 96, 97, 99, 00.

Now that is complete domination....

That's good, my friend, glad you have your 10-20 year old history to look back
on and remember the good old days.

I remember those days too. I remember being ranked #1 or #2 in the country
5 different times during that span, and then losing to Michigan.

So when you remember your history, remember it as Michigan ensuring that John Cooper
would not go down as one of the greatest coaches to ever coach the game of football.
Those 5 national titles they kept him from earning in 13 years hurts.

Keep in mind though, that when I remember my recent history. I'll remember the Buckeyes
winning 6 out of the last 7 games against Michigan and playing for 3 national titles.
While Michigan lost on average 3 games per season during that stretch.

1,611 and counting

Didn't ol Lloyd start out 5-1 vs OSU??? JK, I know I would never put JT down like that, I do have respect for the man.

You make it sound like it was centuries ago. These things run in cycles, and enjoy it, I certainly did, now here's to the Buckeyes, don't count on things staying the same though ;-)

I have a Michigan program in my possession from 1987. It is official. At that time, Michigan claimed one, I repeat, one national title (1948). Now they claim 11, despite 1997 being there only other one since 1987.

Did you know scoutingohio.com has Fitz as the #1 player in Ohio?

Well, JT must be an idiot, or maybe it was the 14 ACT.

Melvin Fellows is the best player in Ohio. Then, I would take Johnny Simon.

Because you have seen eitehr one in person right?

Of all the top players in Ohio I have seen it would be Marcus Hall, 6'5, 325. Clv.Glennville.

Of course you would say an OSU player is the best in Ohio.

So the kid has problems in the classroom, I am sure Clarrett's 16 made him much more recruitable.

BTW, loved it on Jim Rome today just giving Boren and OSU the business. He said Boren is a baby, and RR couldn't erode the tradition or values at Michigan in his entire career at UM.

Jim Rome is usually spot on

Marcus Hall will be just another OSU guy, and Fellows has been mentioned as the #1 guy since his Illinois committment days. Johnny Simon was being talked about ad nauseum even when he was leaving Michigan on the list.

I know that I haven't posted in a while but I had to say that I'm willing to bet that Peake has never even been in the state of Michigan. I appreciate it that you have a favorite team and all, but I think you're just beating a dead dog now. You are outnumbered like 1000 to 1 on this forum so just back off a little.

HAhaha, and I think you need to stay away from posting for a little longer. Obviously you can't read! My fiance is from 30 minutes outside of Detriot, I have been there a time or two. I was at the OSU/UM game this year. I have been to ANn Arbor more than once this year. I watched Mike Hart with my little bro and fiances family when he broke the all-time rushing record against EMU. I have been on the field at U of M. I watched the UM/Miami, OH game from the sidelines when Braylon was a senior and CHad Heene made his first sart as a true freshman. You are questioning my accountability because I am a Michigan fan. I could care less if I am outnumbered 1000 to 1. Most of you are good sports, educated, and can handle a Michigan fan on this board; others can't, not my problem. If most of you have the mindset of Dubs than this board would be more enjoyable. Most of you are like orestes who are OSU elitiest who think OSU can do no wrong.

This isn't true... i think OSU people get on this site and buddy up to talk about the sports and get excited about their team. All you do is tell us about what Michigan and to be quite honest, nobody on here cares. Not saying that Ohio State is the superior team to the entire world, but nobody on this forum cares about Michigan, sorry.

Please point me in the direction of the negative Michigan posts that peake has made. Oh that's right, only OSU fans are supposed to find major faults in their current administration. I can take some shots at John Cooper and his teams if you want, peake.

I love that on an Ohio forum, OSU fans are supposed to take negative shots at OSU, brag up other programs, and sit and enjoy while other anti-OSU people tell of their team's superiority. Sorry, guess I'm an elitist.

I respect Michigan. I respect Bo. I respect Lloyd. I respect Braylon Edwards. I respect Jake Long. I respect the regular student Michigan education. I apologize for not respecting Rich Rod.

This is a public forum open to anyone of any interest concerning college sports. Maybe there should be an OSU board, but until there is I will continue to post like I have for the past three years.

No one caress about my posts? Than why do I get replies?

Like I said you are closed-minded and maybe you don't care for my posts on Michigan, but most people want to know what is going on with their rival; I know I do.

You claim that you haven’t posted or been on this board for “awhile”, so maybe you have missed the fact that there are ND fans, Michigan fans, PSU fans, Florida fans, FSU fans, and as far as I am concerned they are all welcomed to discuss and post on this board.

I will state one more time for the record, I don’t care if you like or dislike my posts, be a man and deal with it.

Orestes when was the last time you talked about anything Michigan with a hint of respect?

I have no problem with anything OSU aside from Justin Boren. OSU is a fine program and academic institution.

I don't talk down about OSU at all. OSU as I have previously stated, is a great program.

If anyone has a problem because that I talk Michigan sports on a College Forum, than they need to read a little closer about what this forum is for. This is a COLLEGE forum, not an OSU forum.

You would have to look pre-RR days. Maybe he will grow on me though.

I sat in front of the High Def and rooted like a Michigan Man for the Wolverines in their bowl game, and it wasn't the first time. There is hatred for a team, and there is hatred with respect. I was mad when UM hired RR, not because of fear, but because I have despised the guy since the first day I heard him speak. When Grobe was being mentioned, I thought that would have been great.

Well I applaud you for rooting for UM, just as I rooted for OSU and actually had an OSU shirt on two years ago against UF.

Anyways, Jim Grobe to UM? I don't know about that. For one Jimmy is a bit too old for UM. THey were looking for someone to be around awhile.

I don't hate Michigan as much as you think. I like to argue.
