WOW JUST WOW!!! Unbelievable HS football game. It was like two heavyweights going toe to toe for 15 rounds until one of them dropped.

By far this was the best team either one had played this year. Both teams earned every yard they gained and every point they scored.

Every Burg player stepped it up on that last drive and willed that ball into the end zone and then the call on 4 and 1 in overtime. UNFREAKINGBELIEVABLE!!! Perfect timing as Eastwood had 11 in the box. Great play call!!

Congrats Pirates and congrats to Eastwood on one hell of a game. Hard way to lose a game but I have a feeling these two might see each again next year.
Celebratory Police & Fire escort through a town of a fierce rival. Waverly showing great class - southern Ohio sticking together.
Waverly did score the most points on the Pirates this year.
CONGRATULATIONS WHEELERSBURG ON THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!

He’s 0-3 and picked Mentor tonight.

Still time to put money on Pick Central.

That is why he is a Pud!!!!

Guarantee he won't come on here and congratulate Burg and you know what, we don't want his congratulations. He can just stay off of all Burg or SEO threads from here on out and we will be happy.

His defense was on their heels. Burg would have scored the next play anyways. They already had it called up. But. Haters gonna hate.

That is a great pic!! All three of the Burg players are intently looking at the ball and the Eastwood player has to know the game is over.

Sure glad Lowery decided to come to the Burg. What a great asset he has been. He made a great over the shoulder catch on that last drive in regulation.

Congratulations to the Wheelersburg Pirates! You have made southern Ohio proud!
I was glad to see someone in the area make it this far to keep me off the round ball threads as much as possible.
Also, thank you from Chillicothe fans as it was fun watching a local team THREE straight weeks here in town. Glad we could be a part of it. Also, congrats to a solid as hellll Eastwood team. There had to be a loser yesterday and it was a tiny difference on who the better team was. Nothing to hang your heads about.

Congrats Burg

ME N MRS. BAIT WAS SITTING HERE AND I SAW THE FUMBLE, AND I YELLED IT'S OVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. wow what a game both these teams played lights out. smashmouth football at it's best wonderful fundamental tackling from both sides. both defenses were hardly giving up anything. my heart just sank when I saw salyers limping around, because I knew how mobile he was. he was just having to hand off n back out. I did see him take 2 shots that should have been penalties after he was hurt, in situations where he had handed off and was hopping backwards out of the way obviously without the ball.i saw them shooting the fluids to him, and thought maybe he was cramping up. if that's what it was , he wasn't about to come out. and if it was something worse he still wasn't. I saw a team mate try to aid him off the field and he pushed him away. 63 for the burg and 32 were everywhere. and so was 26 n 28 for the eagles. one of the best high school games I ever saw. the jump pass was a perfect call, at the perfect time. everybody looked gassed but determined on both squads. I tell ya that was an instant classic. I can't say enough how fundamentally sound both teams played this game, especially tackling wise, it was like watching a game from a video on how to properly form tackle. both teams played classy, helped each up. showed great respect during and after the game, it was a true blessing to watch. and finally congratulations to the eastwood eagles on a superlative 14-1 season and runner up they were classy and near perfect. and to the soc's and southeasternohio's wheelersburg pirates you guys did it right all year. you are solidly coached, superior athletes and earned our respect and admiration all year long. and congratulations to you all for being state champions. and if what dan ross said was correct you been there 2 times and won em both, so yer battin 1000. it was a pleasure to watch, it really was.

You gotta some credit to the sheriff #30 Avery Donini for coming like a missile like he has all year to knock this ball loose

Donini absolutely deserves the credit!!! Haven’t found a picture yet of it. Looking though

Hey Jolly Pirate. You ole Scallywag——I’m watching the game on YouTube. Post a link. I’m terrible at it. Much better at stealing and pasting.

I searched Wheelersburg on YouTube and it came up.
