Celebratory Police & Fire escort through a town of a fierce rival. Waverly showing great class - southern Ohio sticking together.yabbadabbadoo wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2017 11:23 pm I’m sitting in the parking lot in Waverly waiting for the team to go by. They will be picked up at the Pike co. Line by the Waverly police and fire dept. They will then be met by the sheriff at the Scioto County line and escorted to the stadium.
WOW JUST WOW!!! Unbelievable HS football game. It was like two heavyweights going toe to toe for 15 rounds until one of them dropped.
By far this was the best team either one had played this year. Both teams earned every yard they gained and every point they scored.
Every Burg player stepped it up on that last drive and willed that ball into the end zone and then the call on 4 and 1 in overtime. UNFREAKINGBELIEVABLE!!! Perfect timing as Eastwood had 11 in the box. Great play call!!
Congrats Pirates and congrats to Eastwood on one hell of a game. Hard way to lose a game but I have a feeling these two might see each again next year.
Waverly did score the most points on the Pirates this year.
CONGRATULATIONS WHEELERSBURG ON THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!
