Congratulations to the wheelersburg pirates Maybe the most incredible game I have ever watched. I have no words to describe the heart and resiliency those kids showed. Salyers was probably at his best in the final drive to send it into overtime with what I am hearing may be a serious injury. Parsley was a beast all game. And keeny deserved to be MVP of the game played lights out on offense and defense. The entire team made contributions to the win. Hats off to Eastwood team. They had a great season. And special congrats to rob Woodward and the entire burg coaching staff. STATE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!! BABY.

I’m sitting in the parking lot in Waverly waiting for the team to go by. They will be picked up at the Pike co. Line by the Waverly police and fire dept. They will then be met by the sheriff at the Scioto County line and escorted to the stadium.

WOW JUST WOW!!! Unbelievable HS football game. It was like two heavyweights going toe to toe for 15 rounds until one of them dropped.

By far this was the best team either one had played this year. Both teams earned every yard they gained and every point they scored.

Every Burg player stepped it up on that last drive and willed that ball into the end zone and then the call on 4 and 1 in overtime. UNFREAKINGBELIEVABLE!!! Perfect timing as Eastwood had 11 in the box. Great play call!!

Congrats Pirates and congrats to Eastwood on one hell of a game. Hard way to lose a game but I have a feeling these two might see each again next year.

Congrats to Wheelersburg! Over the last few years, Burg has taken their program to an entirely different level, and it was easy to see that they were going to get to this position. Fantastic accomplishment to reach the top and win the school's second state title. Wheelersburg has been the standard for SE Ohio football for quite a while now, but now they're a proven contender on the state level as well. Just an awesome moment for a spectacular football program. Very happy for the Wheelersburg community and everyone associated with their program!

First off I gotta say congrats to the eastwood eagles. They played one HELL of a game and imo will possibly be right back there next yr. They have a hell of a program. U feel bad for the boy who fumbled. U hate to lose a game that way. Especially in the state finals

As for the burg congrats on winning state title number 2. This was prolly the best game I have ever watched. Any other team when they got down with 1:27 left in the game prolly would have prolly gave up. This just proves the heart that the burg players have.
