Have not seen a topic on this game. Anyone got last minute thoughts on this matchup?

Waverly will not be able to matchup with Blevins but will win a close game because I believe this is South Webster 1st game.

Swanker Pine will make his return to the JeeP Nation arena thus propelling the Jeeps to a 7 point win. You heard it here first folks

And that's final Jeeps almost hit the 3 at the buzzer. Intense way to start the season for WEBSTER

This was a scrap meet of a game. Webster came out played like a new team in the second half. Shiloh Blevins with several monster blocks.

Glad to Brenton Cole is finally the head coach with a Connor Scott on the bench as well

Waverly’s rotation down 2 players, including a starter, as the Tigers only dressed 9. Don’t know when Pendleton will be back.
Waverly is still not shooting well yet and I can’t imagine what their FT % was, had to have missed around 15 freebies, kept SW in it. I lost track after they were 1 for 7.
Waverly got away from their up tempo style in the second half which lead to the Jeeps getting back in it, not to mention lighting the nets on fire from 3 pt land.

In the end the Tigers are 2-1 which is about where we thought they’d be after the opening game win at Trace.

I heard Pennington quit.

The Tigers have got to improve their free throw shooting. It was good to see Howell get his three stroke down again.
The Tigers need to continue to improve their shooting and taking care of the ball.

Entertaining game to listen to on the radio. South Webster is never an easy place to get a win. SOC road win and we'll take it. And what a road trip that is.....150 miles one way as stated by the guys on the radio. Lol

Hate to see Penrod out with a broken arm. Wonder if they is anyone who will come up from JV now that we're down to nine players basically for the rest of the season.

I was told we shot 40% from the foul line going 12-30! No where to go but up :)

Who won the JV game? And for the record our radio crew does a real nice job! Go Tigers!

Waverly won the JV game.
18 missed FT’s, WOW. I knew they missed at least 15. As I said, that kept SW in it.
I can’t see that getting any worse, hopefully improves drastically.

Good first test for the Jeeps. Waverly missing 18 free throws did keep the Jeeps in it, as it had signs of getting ugly early on in the game. Shiloah Blevins is a top 3 player in the SOC and I’d imagine the best D4 player in SE ohio - how many blocks did he have? 10?!? He put on a show

Jeeps have to find another reliable scorer otherwise this could be a really long season, because Blevins is going to have an off night eventually. It will be interesting to see how they fare against a somewhat down South Point team today, will be a good opportunity for their first win!
