Jackson @ Hillsboro
Jackson @ Hillsboro
FAC battle in Highland County tomorrow night. Can Jackson slow down Mycroft, Watson and Keets? Jackson will need to hit shots and avoid foul trouble. I like the Ironmen’s chances.

Mycroft is an absolute force inside. Very strong, athletic, and will fight for every rebound. Best gameplan against Hillsboro is to run a 2-3 zone and make them beat you from the perimeter.

Jackson rarely rarely ever plays a zone. Most said last year you couldn’t beat Wheelersburg playing man to man...but that’s what we do and I’ll be shocked if we zone up Hillsboro.goblue1395 wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2017 8:04 am Mycroft is an absolute force inside. Harder to keep a Mycroft off the boards from a zone. Didn’t Watson have a game where he hit 5 or 6 3’s?

Hillsboro led 18-8 after first.
Jackson battled and gained the lead but Hillsboro battled back to lead at half 28-24

Early on in this FAC time Jackson and Hillsboro seem to have a decent rivalry brewing. Very even in terms of athletes and similar cities for sure.

How well was Jackson able to contain Mycroft? I really think this league will be very competitive in basketball for years to come, exciting!

Mycroft, i assuming is #24 the running back on football team. He picked up 2 fouls in the 1st quarter and sit the rest of the first half.
Second half Jackson missed up their defense a few times, zone and man. Kendall Neal was able to bang with him for the most of the second half. Was a very physical game. Should be a interesting game when they come to jackson.
The technical foul in the second half really hurt Hillsboro. One of their kids went to locker room with trainer. Coaches didnt know.. ANother boy came in and never reports before either horn or notify officials of an injury.

Actually #24 is Josh Keets. Mycroft is #32, big physical post player underneath.dcgjones wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2017 2:30 pmgoblue1395 wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2017 9:21 am How well was Jackson able to contain Mycroft?
