Wendy's Classic at Portsmouth
Is there a schedule for this? The Buckeye Classic at Portsmouth earlier this month was not well advertised. Gym only about 1/3 full. Had people known some of the top prospects in the country including Arizona State and Kansas recruits were playing I would think the gym would have been packed.

falconfan14: One reason the crowd for the Buckeye Elite was so small was the admission price of $10 each of the last 2 days......the first day price was lowered to $5 because one team didn't show up.
I have seen New Hope Christian play and they like to get up and down the court. The game with Portsmouth should be a high scoring, entertaining affair.

The Flash: The game with Ohio Valley Christian has been cancelled because they already had a game on this date. Portsmouth is trying to find another game for later in the season.

Wish New Hope would've gotten the nod to be in the OHSAA this season. Would've been a really tough out for anyone in D4. They are a good team, so this would be a nice win for the Trojans.Basketball:30 wrote: Sat Dec 30, 2017 9:28 pm Portsmouth is up 68-63 with 33 seconds left. Great game.

Nice win for the Trojan's ,new hope has a nice team ,very impressed.
think their other two losses was to ready and hartley?
They have some players for sure,I think at least four players in double figures,we was down for the most part and reese Johnson got the hot hand and scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half

Re: Wendy's Classic at Portsmouth
Proud of the Trojans (6-2) on this win......New Hope is a very nice team that has a lot of offense, both on the perimeter and in the paint. For 3 quarters they controlled this game, but in the final frame the Trojans came back, forcing some turnovers and missed shots. 4 players were in double figures for PHS, led by Reese Johnson with 18. It is critical to the Trojans success going forward that a 3rd consistent scorer steps up to compliment DJ Eley and Matthew Fraulini.
The win was Portsmouth's 1,440th in school history, and the 145th (145-58) in Coach Eugene Collins tenure at PHS, in this his 9th season.
The Trojans return to OVC play next Friday, hosting Chesapeake.
