... Eastern Pike entertains 7-1 Ripley Tuesday night ... this should be a great test for the Eagles ...
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #5 - New Year Edition ...
Yep, could be a slugfest.
The basketball culture in Ripley is getting back to the days of the Washington, and Grant days of the 70s. You have to wait in line for game at the full outside courts all summer.

He’ll know more than I but they are the team to beat in the SHAC and IMO would be #7 or #8 in these rankings...above Fairfield. Their 6’10 twins are a load.

Just kidding on the 6’10 twins

Nope, just occurred to me that I've never done anything there. You would've thought that in all of my years of playing, coaching, and scouting that I would've at least experienced something there. After watching them last night, I want to make sure to see a game there either this season or next and I'll definitely get some pizza afterwards!Ironman92 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2017 11:13 pmBetter than us you are...you thinkdanicalifornia wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2017 11:08 pm I once drove through Beaver. They are young and quick, play 8 players who seem to be interchangable.7 can shoot the three and they defend well. Don't think I would want to run with them. Glad Peebles doesn't play them till last game of season
32West could probably give all more info. On the Shac topic

Pfloyd: Happy New Year.
My grandmother taught at New Boston from 1922-1957 I believe. Because of that I did my student teaching at New Boston in 1990. Great little school.

Hoopie’s description is pretty accurate. Ripley plays well as a team with no one averaging double figures, but basically the whole rotation between 5-9 ppg. Rebound by committee but not huge, I’d expect Miller will have a advantage inside for Eastern.Hoopie74 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2018 12:01 amThey are young and quick, play 8 players who seem to be interchangable.7 can shoot the three and they defend well. Should be a great game...we went to Ripley last year and escaped with the W. Glad you think as much of the Eagles as we do....although you did plummet us to #30 for losing to Oak Hill and Africentric Floyd lol.

Great rankings as always Floyd. Will be interesting to see how things play out as January hits. North Adams is actually 3-6...losses to Minford, Fairfield, Lynchburg, Eastern Brown, Ripley and West Union in the holiday classic. Wins over Fayetteville, Portsmouth Clay and Peebles. Don't count the Green Devils out they have no bad losses on their resume.

Nice looking Elite down all the way. You should get paid for all the work and travel you put in . Nobody does it better . Is this the highest the Chieftains have ever been? The Shermans are closing back in . FU is tough , Oak Hill is cruising and Fairland , well they are No 1 and another loss could have some questions. I think an ELITE Holiday Tourney ( at the CONVO) would be out of this world . Take a portion of the gate and give it back to a worthy Charity ,with an all tourney team and large Media coverage . This is what High School Basketball should have more of . SEO has the best Fans and some of the best hidden talent. Thanks Floyd for giving us some really good insight! Happy and Healthy New Year!!!!!!!!!!
