Its pretty simple eastern can win some without Miller they wouldn't win without Leist

I disagree with that statement. Miller changes the game on both ends. Every opposing player is wary of attacking the rim do to his presence in the paint. He dominates the bords and scores the ball. Least is a good Point guard not saying he isn’t he gets them into their sets and pressures the other teams point. But know coach is going to spend hours game planning how to stop him. Coaches have to game plan on keeping the ball from Miller and focus on trying to keep him off the boards and run offensive sets to try to draw him out of the paint. Least is a super kid and a excellent player that does effect the game. But Miller is the guy teams game plan for.

Piketon tried to gameplan for Leist and he ate them up I agree Miller has a huge upside just has to more agressive inside. Teams can push him out snd he allows it some if he had Tomlinsons attitude and toughness he would be run away POY

I'm not sure Piketon game planned for Leist any different than they did any other guard. Just tons of pressure. He's just one of the better guards we've played with an elite level motor. POY? I'm not sure. I haven't followed them much but I know he put it on us pretty good. Him and Miller did

I see both sides of argument as Leist makes Eastern go and kid never gets tired as his stamina is unreal..Miller is such a tough matchup at6'6 he can score in post and can step out and knock down a 3. Eagles very fortunate to have both out standing players

I’m not real familiar with all the teams in the SOC-I. But I did go to Western on Saturday night to watch Paint Valley. I was most impressed with Western’s ability to shoot the 3 ball. Of course it was just one game but they had a number of kids that could really shoot the ball. I think they had 5 different kids make 3-Pters that night. If it wasn’t for the Big kid from PV, Western would have run away with that game.

I guess the timing of my post couldn’t have been any better. (Western - 51 ZT - 47) I guess that answers my question about just being hot for one game. They have kids at every position that can shoot the “3”. Even their Center shot the “3” against Paint Valley.

I think if this was an "MVP" award, Leist would win that without an argument just for the simple fact Eastern has no one else that can handle the ball.
As far as Player of the Year, Miller without a doubt.

After watching some but not all of the soc1 teams this year. As an outsider I think Conley from New Boston is the most key to his team. Miller is definitely key to Eastern Pike. It would be between those two for me.
