Fair enough. I would rather have a game with Jackson being able to give us the best they got. It's just not the same if it's a win and the main guy who got them there isn't able to play. And if you look at it another way and Athens loses without Jackson having their best player. You have in the back of your mind, how much worse would this have been had they been fully healthy? I don't know I guess injuries are a part of the whole thing and how you respond.Ironman92 wrote: Mon Jan 29, 2018 3:56 pmI would never joke about an injury. I’m not sure of his availability so I’d prefer to leave it at that. I hope he plays and scores 30....in a winVisionQuest wrote: Mon Jan 29, 2018 3:51 pmJackson has a good record. Not so sure about their strength of schedule though. They played VC tight and almost won it. Final 56-59. Some say we should have beat Logan Elm by more. Maybe. It was one of those nights where LE went 11-24 from 3 and one kid had 6 and as you stated it is hard to beat them at home. So a win is a win and now 3 straight and on the road. I'm Not sure what Jackson has. I hear the names Spohn and Donaldson a lot. I think Spohn has played for the Athens County Shock AAU team before. I hear he is real good. Ironman92 says Jacksons leader in rebounds and scoring has an ankle injury on another Thread and out a week or 2. He won't elaborate and not sure if he is pulling my leg. If so this could be one of those Intangibles you speak of. I'm just hoping for a competitive and injury free game.morehead state wrote: Mon Jan 29, 2018 3:26 pm Word on the street is Jackson should easily win BUT who knows???/

Re: Athens at Jackson: 1/30
Serious question. If Athens wins this game and can win out before the draw. Are they the 5 seed? If they lose tomorrow and win out are they the 6 seed? Is New Lex the only other team in the picture of who gets 5 and who gets 6? Any thoughts?

I like how Cozart mixes itVisionQuest wrote: Mon Jan 29, 2018 3:11 pmDo you like the 2-3 with Saltzman and Maxfield up top and the 3 6'4" guys in Hynes, Chubb and Butcher down low?
Or the 1-2-2 when they put Chubb up in the middle up top with his long wingspan? I think both have been effective depending on the opposing team. I like how they can mix it up nonetheless.

Wow!!! No respect again. Everyone was saying VC over Athens by double digits and they didn't have a chance. That's Ok. Athens doing well being the "Underdogs"

Not everyone!!! I predicted Athens over Vinton County AND predicted they’d hold Yates under 12 points. I have you guys by 7 tomorrow night.VisionQuest wrote: Mon Jan 29, 2018 9:56 pmWow!!! Is Jackson the real deal? In all honesty I didn’t think they had much in terms of basketball. Not being a smarta$$. Just never heard much and thought they struggled in b-ball.

The Bulldogs are putting together some good basketball . I'll take Athens in a close one .
Re: Athens at Jackson: 1/30
Jackson can hold their own with just about anyone. Gave Chillicothe a good game. Watching some of theirs updates on here they can play good defense. Wouldn't shock me if this turns into a low scoring win for the Ironmen.therealNY wrote: Mon Jan 29, 2018 11:45 pm Is Jackson the real deal? Jackson will edge it out. I predict a low scoring matchup 44-38 Jackson. I feel that Jackson has the athletes to stay in front of the bulldogs! Spahn been playing extremely well this season and I am very impressed with how Davis has been playing recently. You couldn't tell he's a freshman! Wallace boy been playing strong and limiting turnovers and the young Donaldson been giving great minutes. I'm going out on a limb and saying the x factor will be Bryce tonight.
