Big win.

Jackson 49
Waverly 41

Everyone played their tails off....both teams. In the first half Jackson jumped out big 10-2 and then Waverly pressured and pressured and pressured and subbed in several and I thought wore Jackson down a bit. Waverly has 20-18 halftime lead.

In the 2nd half Coach Morrow clearly made some adjustments and Jackson handled everything thrown at them...hit some shots, hit some free throws, made the necessary pass and most importantly maybe...played strong. That game was fast and physical and they really let them play (too much imo). Donaldson and Marquez both played but neither were full strength and Spohn had been sick all day.

A great great battle and I feel almost a lock to be the sectional final matchup in the 4/5 slot.

Congrats to the Ironmen seniors: Carson Spohn, Peyton Speakman, Kendall Neal and Blake Wyatt.

Waverly has a nice team and are quick! Howell a nice shooter but I didn’t notice other good perimeter shooters...maybe Jackson’s defense gets some credit there, maybe just one of those games.

I’ve watched a lot of games the last 30+ years...that was maybe the most frantic paced and played game ever not to have a team hit 50

Going to be an interesting sectional seeding after this one.
Gallia only lost by one to Fairland so I see Gallia getting the 3.

Jackson, Zane Trace and Waverly jockeying for the 4-6.
4/5 winner of course plays the #1 seed from Logan so would you rather be the 6 and play Gallia?

Jackson has been to the district tournament 1x since 1985....they will take the best seed possible.

FU, Warren Local....who cares? (I think lol)
