Logan is at a crossroad
Re: Logan is at a crossroad
Read where Logan, Canal, Groveport, Teays Valley, Whitehall, Watkins Memorial, Zanesville, Lancaster, Newark, Reynoldsbug and Licking Hts met again on a new league.

Time is running out on the Billy Burke experience. Unsatisfactory production on the field and rumblings of unrest among the locals.
Sometimes I'll start a sentence and I don't even know where it's going. I just hope I find it along the way.

Re: Logan is at a crossroad
Too big. Of course, not all of those would go to a new league IMO. I think ideally you'd want about 7 or 8 members to allow for some non-league gate games.
May you live in interesting times- ancient Chinese curse
Re: Logan is at a crossroad
I have heard they might go after as many as possible to keep from trying to find schools to fill a full schedule. Going to be a lot of miles between Teays Valley and Zanesville if only one division.

Re: Logan is at a crossroad
I don't think you will see Lancaster, Newark or Reynoldsburg leave the OCC. They are undergoing realignment in divisions. However, the rest of those listed are possible members of a new league. And since this is all open speculation with public knowledge of possible members, you might be surprised if other schools have put out feelers to be considered as well but kept under raps so they aren't under scrutiny by others. Interesting and has possibilities .

Holy Cow what a trip that will be! Does Logan make the return trip? Locos is that the farthest team Logan has ever played?

Re: Logan is at a crossroad
Wow! Garfield Hts always has athletes but plays a very competitive schedule . They are in the south Cleveland suburbs, blue collar community, tough athletic kids and always turn out college recruits. They were 5-5 last year after being down for a few years. Not sure what they have this year, but better strap up the chinstrap. They play a lot of speed teams and often match that, but also usually have some size. And I can't see them coming all the way to Logan just to lose. If Chiefs aren't better, this could be embarrassing.

According to the LDN, Logan will not make the return trip the year after, just a one year commitment.

What I find to be truly amazing to me is how this thread has been turned into a time keeper that tracks days until a school board fires a coach. I can’t believe this has been allowed by the moderators to continue.

Re: Logan is at a crossroad
For perspective on Garfield Hts,they played 5 playoff teams last year, beating one. They always play a lot of parochials as well.

Re: Logan is at a crossroad
The days that are being counted in no way is saying a coach will be let go. It is talking about an anouncment someone is saying that is about to happen. That could be anything.Howard Cosell wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2018 8:27 pm What I find to be truly amazing to me is how this thread has been turned into a time keeper that tracks days until a school board fires a coach. Re: Logan is at a crossroad
I believe it will be the first team we've played from Cuyahoga County. And would be a farther trip than Hamilton Ross, which was the previous longest road trek.
I imagine Logan is paying a nice guarantee to bring the Bulldogs down to Logan.
