Best 3 PT Shooter
Who is the best 3 point shooter you have watched this year. For me it is hands down 6'4" Eli Chubb of Athens. I see him consistently knock down 3s and would venture to say he averages 3 a game and shoots mid-40% from beyond the Arc saw him put up 6 against a team earlier this year. Who you got?

As far as an opposing teams top 3pt Shooter I have seen it is hands down the Cassidy kid from Logan. He put a total of about 11 in between the 2 games we played. A couple from NBA range.

Does anyone know what Hixson’s 3 pointer statsare? It seems like he hits a lot.

What about that freshman from Fed Hock? Nathaniel Massie. He averages 3 a game. Not to mention, he hit 8 straight 3 balls in the second half against Belpre.

I'm anxious to see the Massie kid tonight when Fed Hock comes to Athens. The Bulldogs need to devise a good defensive game plan against him.

I've heard the younger Maughmer from Chili can stroke it as well. Put up 7 against a team recently?

He is definitely Fed Hock's key player on offense.VisionQuest wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2018 9:40 am I'm anxious to see the Massie kid tonight when Fed Hock comes to Athens. The Bulldogs need to devise a good defensive game plan against him.

I love me some TP but a great 3 shot he has not. Shoots kinda 2 handed and no rotation. He hits some and is a GREAT player has put it a ton of work. His size not being big enough to go inside and his lack of a good shot is what is gonna hurt him some for the next level.

Cole Lowery from the Burg. Hit 8 I believe against Valley this year. Has hit some big three’s this season.
Re: Best 3 PT Shooter
McCarty and both Yates’ from VC. Nevan’s a very consistent shooter, Naylan is one of the best shooters I’ve ever seen pulling most from around the volleyball line with a hand in his face. McCarty is a role player that comes off the bench and his role’s to shoot. Had 5 3’s against Nelsonville, 3 against wellston, 3 last night against NY, 3 against Jackson in all a short amount of playin time.

Always wondered what Cassidy could do if he played a whole game.VisionQuest wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2018 8:46 am As far as an opposing teams top 3pt Shooter I have seen it is hands down the Cassidy kid from Logan. He put a total of about 11 in between the 2 games we played. A couple from NBA range.

I realize this is (barely) above the “Lancaster-Dixon Line”, but here’s a good ‘underdog’ story.
Keenan Swindells from Fisher Catholic, for me. Leads the Central District in 3-point efficiency, making 44-80 (55%.) Stands at 5’8”, too.
Kid went from seeing a few minutes a game last year as a bench-warming junior on a putrid D4 to leading FC to its first winning season in 10 years. Usually a kid with so few varsity minutes as a junior would not come out his senior year, or instead would complain to all heck. Not this kid; he found himself putting in work everyday in the off-season putting up hundreds of shots. It appears to have paid off.
Hoping that we can make Regionals and play at the Convo. That way any fans in the area that are there for the Athens 1 v Athens 2 game in D4 would have a chance to see him play.

Brandon Kennedy from Unioto.
He's 42-87 (48%) this season.
For his career, he is 155-346 (44.8%), which puts him 4th all time in the state of Ohio for 3pt percentage.
Shocked that he hadn't been named yet.

The Thomas brothers from Fairland can shoot the ball, if I’m not mistaking, I believe Luke had 9 threes in 1 game earlier this season? I’m sure he is averaging 3-4 threes per game at least. His younger brother, Clayton, could also be the best pure shooter in SE Ohio, hitting some big shots in big games off the bench.
