Western Pike big over Green tonight 68-45.
Indians are now 11-9 with two games to go against East! The boys are playing well heading into the tournament.

... unable to make the trip due to personal/family issue - nothing wrong - just having family that we don't see more than twice a year coming in - didn't feel right leaving for the day ...

IMO Burg is playing as good as anyone in the southeastern district. Fairland is the only team that Burg would have a problem with. Burg is finally playing to the potential we all knew they had. Hopefully they will keep rolling come tournament time

"Fairland is the only team that Burg would have a problem with." (LOL)
Waverly just played AT Burg a week ago, dominated the 1st quarter, was up by 6 in the 2nd when catalyst Cobe Marquez went down with an ankle injury and never returned. The game was tied at halftime and Burg pulled a nick and tuck game out in the end.

Maybe you are saying they are tremendously better in that week since then.................

I think scott1297 is pretty clear in what he is saying. Yes it was only a 7 point victory against Waverly in the last game. But don’t sit there and imply if Cobe “the catalyst” Marquez would not have gotten hurt then you guys would have won. Waverly is definitely not just one guy. I think Burg did use that victory as a springboard to dominate their next two opponents Oak Hill by 22 and West by 26. Waverly is a good team but just a notch below The Burg and Oak Hill as shown by their records.

Yes, Marquez changed that game completely.
Just like Oak Hill losing Long.

Burg beat Oak Hill with Long on the floor. Waverly cannot say the same.

Ok, all I heard when they gave the score Tuesday night was that’s Long was out.
Seeing how Long played and Burg still beat Oak Hill that bad they should have beaten Waverly by 20.

Interesting fact for Pfloyd ...

Trimble won 5 games in 8 days with the 5th win being Howies 500th at The Beasts of the southeast vs Chesapeake.

Coal Grove beat Gallia Academy 60 to 41 at Coal Grove 2 weeks before that Gallia Academy beat Coal Grove by 57 to 35 at Gallia Academy so who is better just Coal Grove beats the Blue Devils at Coal Gove their better I don’t think so Gallia Academy just overlook them after beating them so bad the first time and didn’t show up. Shot poorly that game.
