It is a good amount of driving but the alternative is all of these schools looking high and low for a conference. Just get a majority of your out of conference games as close as possible. Could add or subtract 1 or 2. Just makes too much sense.

I cant argue with you yet but.....two of your examples are very unproven.
Lets see if chillicothe dominates that league.
Pretty sure if the tvc could do it over, they would reject athens
RV didnt make it very long in the ovc due to multiple different reasons.

Re: 3 tier TVC
I don't see Chillicothe dominating the fac in football. Them and Jackson are natural rivals and always have battles on the gridiron . A marquee week 10 game. Even if they do , I'm pretty sure Most leagues are dominated by one team . TVC - NY , soc2 - burg , soc1- oak hillgoUK wrote: Mon Feb 19, 2018 9:24 pm I cant argue with you yet but.....two of your examples are very unproven.

Re: Marietta/Warren apply for TVC membership
Warren could get in. Marietta only gets in if the TVC wants to do a complete SEO take over and also adds Gallia and Jackson. Make a three tier football league and a two tier league for everything else. Be cool to have 24 teams. 8 teams in football and 12 for everything else.
But Gallia makes more sense than Warren since in the TVC area.

Re: Marietta/Warren apply for TVC membership
Two teams,Athens and Alexander (Why), play Warren next year while no one plays Marietta.
Wellston, NY, RV, Vinton, and Meigs have voted with their scheduling.
Everyone of the above teams with the exception of VC and Alex have left a league where they weren't competitive.
Why would they want to bring in two schools that are bigger (VC excepted)?
I'd be interested to know who in the Ohio plays Warren and Marietta regularly in Boys basketball.
I get why this would be good for Marietta and Warren but fail to see where it helps the Ohio---especially when you consider the travel.

Re: Marietta/Warren apply for TVC membership
If you listened to the Vinton County podcast above, it sounds like Warren might have the votes to get back in. What has changed since the last time Warren applied is that schools are having difficulty finding a late season nonconference game. The TVC OHIO schools all currently have a late season nonconference game because of an odd number of schools in the conference. Warren (or any school for that matter) would make an even number of teams. Marietta, on the other hand, would only be accepted if the TVC went to three divisions because adding 2 schools would still leave the TVC OHIO with an odd number of teams. According to the Vinton County podcast above, the scheduling difficulties in the TVC OHIO may have swayed enough minds that Warren may have the votes they need now that they didn't have before.
I can't remember who all voted YES for Warren when they have applied in the past, but I know that both Athens and Nelsonville-York voted YES for them in the past.

Re: Marietta/Warren apply for TVC membership
If Marietta and Warren came in you would have to have a third division and if not it is so long to some schools. Most schools in the TVC wouldn't want to play Athens, Marietta and Warren.
