WAVERLY VS SHERIDAN

Post by AnkleBraces »

Will the tigers speed and pressure be able to compete with Sheridan's size?

Waverly has a good chance to win this one.

If Sheridan can handle Waverly’s pressure they should win...if they struggle they could go down.

Hoping the Tigers can pull out another victory this Friday. Haven't been able to see Sheridan play this year though.. Tigers have been able to face adversity this season and haven't had any quit in them so far so I look for the Tigers to keep the season alive with a win this Friday at the Convo.

Sheridan has a ton of size and has one really good scoring guard. They don't handle pressure really well, so that's why I think that Waverly has an excellent chance to get the victory on Friday night.

This could be a sneaky good game.

Waverly pressure could definitely hurt Sheridan but Waverly has no answer for the size Sheridan can throw at them. A classic size vs. speed matchup. I'm rooting hard for the Tigers but I'll go with:

Sheridan 55
Waverly 46

Sheridan plays an average schedule and have a couple bad losses . They can be a pretty good team but my guess the Tigers get the win .

Well I'm curious. Just how much size does Sheridan have?

Here is their roster on their website. Looks like they do indeed have some size. http://www.sheridanbasketball.com/ClubR ... nId=49293&

Looks like Sheridan's two key players are Heller (PG) who is averaging 20 ppg and Heileman (C) who is averaging 12 ppg and 8 rpg. This is all according to their website statistics, assuming they are somewhat accurate. It will be interesting to see if Waverly is able to pressure these guys and how Adrian is able to hold up down low.

I don’t think Sheridan’s size will be a problem unless Waverly’s pressure isn’t.

Sheridan pretty much always has a 6’7 and 6’4 in game, another 6’7 on bench and 6’1 is the scorer

They split with Tri-Valley (D1, co-winner of their league), John Glenn (2 seed in D2 East, co-winner of their league), and Philo (7 seed in D2 East) in OT

I wanna pull for another Pike County team playing in districts but I’ll have to take Sheridan. I think their size prevails over pressure. Plus Sheridan plays in a tougher league.

Sheridan 58
Waverly 45

Rooting hard for the Tigers to get a win so we can see a Waverly- Unioto District Championship game but I think Sheridan will just be a littl much for the Tigers. Waverly will keep it close for 3 quarters but I think Sheridan pulls away in the 4th. Sheridan by 12

Sheridan 68
Waverly 56

The Tigers schedule has been just as tough as Sheridan's. They have faced Fairland (1 seed in D2), Oak Hill (1 seed in D3), Wheelersburg (2 seed in D3), and Eastern Pike (3 seed in D3). Adrian and Reed will need to stay out of foul trouble against Sheridan's size.
