The insider said to post this on any board that has OSU fans.
If you are a fan of Ohio State football there are a couple of things you can do that can actually IMPACT the program in a positive fashion:
a) Donate money to the institution or
b) Make lots of noise when the opposition has the ball
there is only ONE way that you can really IMPACT the program in a negative fashion and hurt the program and recruiting:
a) boo the home team
a true fan NEVER boos the Buckeyes---regardless of the situation....period......
I had THREE separate recruits mention it to me.....
unsolicited........
Ron Zook LOVES it everytime you boo the Buckeyes---I assure you......

Some more....
Nevada alluded to something in his thread that we both decided not to mention, but I believe I'm going to bring it up. This story is 100% true. If you think I'm making it up to prove a point, PM me and I'll gladly discuss it further with you. And I'm not interested in hearing anyone's response, pro or con, so I'm locking this thread. Just read it. If you think it's a non-issue, that's your right. If you are an A-hole that likes to boo your own team, maybe this will stop you. You want to know why I have such strong feelings on the subject? Read on...........
POINT ONE............
There were 4 Buckeyes who refused to go the interview room after the game. Why? Because they were incensed over the booing of Todd Boeckman and they were ready to go off on the D-Bags who were booing their teammate. They didn't want to go off on the fan base, so they just stayed away, not wanting to embarrass the school or the team. But the point is this: They hear it and it has exactly the effect on the OSU team that Ron Zook, Les Miles or Urban Meyer would love. In short, when you boo your team, you are doing everything in your power to help your team lose.
POINT TWO...................
After Todd Boeckman bounced that pass and the cowardly morons started booing, Todd's mother broke down in tears and was barely consolable for the rest of the game, though other Buckeye moms tried their best. Even if the booing helped the Buckeyes win a national championship, would you feel right about doing that to a loyal Buckeye family? What has the Boeckman family done to deserve this? Not win enough games to satisfy a whiny no-life fan? And some of you try to justify your booing? It's a football game. Grow the **** up............

The people who are in the stands booing are usually the ones who would get laughed off the field if they were put in the same position.

I can see their points, but those same people that boo during the game...say I dont know got tired of seeing him pretty much make stupid mistakes from the last few games of last year through the bowl game to the USC game. Either way lets all as Buckeye fans face the truth with Terrell in there we stand more of a chance of winning.

I agree.
If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. It's not really all Boekman's fault. Tressel deserves quite a few of those boos as well for letting Boekman make an embarrasment of himself and Ohio State at USC. Plus, as I said on another thread, he's been one of the few constants in all three of the Buckeye humiliations.
Boekman is just a sub-OSU QB who tries his best on Saturdays. Tressel, however, after three straight humiliations should know better by now.
