After seeing both teams today, Coal Grove is the far better team. However, Coal Grove's sluggish starts will come back to haunt them sooner rather than later. I say Coal Grove wins by 8.

Coal Grove has a better team from top to bottom. Most unselfish team I’ve ever seen. The Grove will win their first district championship since 1998 and move forward.

Here we are in the District Championship.

Coal Grove looked better today. Several of you have said this —- question ? Does playing against Miller vs playing against New Boston have anything to do with that?

Coal Grove has played Manchester and Miller to get to the District Championship. South Webster has beaten 2 seeded Southern and 3 seeded New Boston—- both of these games were in doubt with :45 left. I think that helps us. Our kids have been through 2 pressure cookers and survived. If it’s close I think Webster has a good shot.

Both teams play in leagues in which they are the only D4 team. No advantage there.

Go Big Grove! Need to stop #3 from going down the middle of the lane 75% of the time. Blevins will be a tough matchup but with Jeb and Angelo, I look for them to step and handle the job.

I think Coal Grove comes in as the favorite if they don't get distracted by those goofy "Roll Coal" signs all over town. Who came up with that? Is that some poor Bama reference right in the middle of Buckeye country? Was "Go Big Grove" too expensive to print up on signs? Talented team but c'mon lol

Webster in another barn burner. Withstood the strong winds of #2 southern. They had good shooters, disciplined and played sit down defense. Survived the teeth and claws of #3 New Boston. Scrappiest and grittiest team (by far) all year. They have 5 scorers on the floor and long and athletic.
Shiloh and the gang will be suited up and ready to exterminate the hornets. But bring your sting ointment because it’s going to be a good one.
The hornets nest comes down Saturday.
