I agree, Piketon needs pace of play to slow down in order to have the best shot at a W. Pressure in the half court could be very effective.
I've only seen Burg play a few games this year, but the half-court set did not seem to be their friend against other talented teams.

I’m not real familiar with piketon so I’m not commenting on there kids. I have seen the burg and to judge Holden on his stats or what he has done statistically in certain games isn’t fair. He can be a force when they need him to be. Sometimes he is to unselfish and just lets the offense flow. The burg has 3 other kids that are capable of going over 20 each night. If two other kids are between 15-25 and he has 10 and 10 that’s not on him. If the score is close late he is very hard to stop when he decides to take the ball to the hoop.

I'm afraid I don't understand your logic when you say ask 10 non burg fans when your a Piketon fan pleading your case for a Piketon player.. Kinda biased maybe.. Im actually a fan of burg's biggest rival but sometimes you have to take your blinders off..
I get it. I’m not taking anything away from Holden. I think the kid is amazing. You made your case based off who had college offers. That doesn’t always mean that player is better right now.
Holden scored 4 and 9 against Lucasville Valley....but he is better all around then Perdue haha.

Perdue was in the top 10 in every statistical category in the SVC. 49 points against the best team around (Unioto) in two games

24.5 ppg
10 rpg at 6'0"
3 apg from the post
3 spg
1 bpg

55 fg %
35 3pt %
80 ft %

Only player with better statistical performances than Perdue lately is Beau Justice.
All I wanted is Holden to get some credit where it is due because he doesn't get half the hype people are giving Perdue. I don't understand why you are jumping so defensive and throwing out specific stats that the only people that actually know are family, coaches, or himself lol. He's a good scorer as I have already said.

Purdue has a better supporting cast than Lynchburg's big man had. Piketon Is much better than Lynchburg.
Purdue is always consistent as we all know. Blanton has had big games as well but there are other guys who have multiple double digit games that are very capable. Just don't here much about them but beware!!!
You Burg fans don't be surprised if you Get an out come that your not expecting. Not to mention these guys loved to get snubbed. They relish the spoiler role, the underdog!!
Now, with all that said I know Piketon can go down but doubt that it will be the Massacre that everyone's predicting!!

All that info is on our svc website. Anyone can get it. Don’t think anyone is doubting Holden’s ability or not giving him credit. Biased or not Perdue is better at this point in their career imo.

I think Holden’s getting credit but when you look at both Perdue and Holden’s all around game Perdue is the better basketball player.

Both players are considered elite in the area. I think if you put Holden on not as good of a team you would see his numbers go up.

Agreed, Piketon is really just Perdue and a handful of streaky shooters, a gritty defensive specialist, and another banger(#24). Which in all honesty doesn't sound like a bad club, I just think Burg has the upperhand.

Piketon isn’t just the Tanner Perdue show and IMO Burg and Piketon are 2 evenly matched teams

I think LC would beat Piketon had they gotten through Brug. Nice thing is we will find out Saturday .

I have to agree with King of Shyville on this one, Piketon is better than Lynchburg, McGlaughlin was the only chance LC had but he wore down in the 2nd half, Piketon has many weopons unlike LC

The fact is that his is not a one on one game LOL.... After seeing both teams play I believe that Burg will have the upper hand with 5 vs 5

McLaughlin would have faded just like he did against Burg if they had played Piketon. Piketon's 6,7,8 and 9 could start for LC. McLaughlin need some help.
Purdue won't fade against Burg because the supporting cast is much better than LC. The are a far more superior defensive team than LC as well. They will be able to keep Burg in front of them.
They will be able to push the ball down the floor as well as anyone Burg has seen this year. Definitely get to find out Saturday!

Having watched both teams Saturday, I think the Burg is the better team and should win if they play their normal game. Piketon is certainly capable of winning, but they will have to play much better than they did vs. Alexander. Great rally in the 4th quarter by the Redstreaks, but if they are asked to do that against the Pirates, it won't happen.

Wheelersburg most likely will get balanced scoring, while Piketon's Tanner Perdue must have some help in the scoring column.

I'll always root for my streaks but I think the Piketon team has been narrowed down to two players. I don't want to leave kids out but I've been to a limited number of games but have listened to most. Reader and Little have had some very nice games! Lightle and Veach has had some good ones as well. Let's see who gets hot! HERE COME THE STREAKS!

All this talk comparing Holden and Perdue is a joke. Perdue is a PG/SG. He is not going to be able to post up a player amd be effective. He relies on screens and dribble drives and shooting off the dribble. I lost count the number of times the other night had an Alex player set up for a charge he would have been in foul trouble. Burg has players that will take a charge and do it very well

Holden has played just about every position for Burg this year. He has ran the point if need be he can play in the post where he can take a player down low and go to the rim and score. Haven't seen any team yet this year stop him when he goes to the rim from the post.

Burg almost put 4 players in double figures against LC. They went for 17, 17, 12 and 9 and 2 out of the starters. Salyers came of the bench to score 9 I believe. They are very balanced and don't need Holden to throw in 25 a night to win. They usually go with who has the hot hand. Someone mentioned Holden only had 4 and 9 points against Valley. In the first Valley game Lowery had the hot hand so they kept feeding him the ball. He ended up with I believe 35 on the night. The second game I missed but with the score being 67-30 and towards the end of the season, my guess is he and the other starters didn't play much.

Perdue needs to touch the ball more than one time
Per quarter like the 3rd quarter agains Alexander if
The Streaks are thinking about winning this one. He doesn’t have to shoot it every time either. He does a great job of getting the ball to his teammates. Streaks have some very capable scorers to pull this one out and move on. The Reader kid as a nice touch and rarely
Takes a bad shot. Coaches will have the boys ready.
Go Streaks !!

That horrible Alexander team took Jackson to OT in Jackson and had 5 player in double figures. Calling them horrible makes the rest of your post hard to read and take seriously.

Burg is the better team but trashing Alexander doesn’t make Burg any better.
