Kyle is a coach that any school would be lucky to have. Having him as an assistant is huge for this Tigers team and the community feels grateful to have such a great mind working with our kids. Travis knew what he was doing when he asked him to come on board. If Kyle ends up sticking around in the school system long enough to out last Travis, I could see him taking over as Head Coach here at Waverly one day if things worked out. Not saying anyone in Tiger Nation believes Travis is going anywhere anytime soon, nor wants him too. But if Travis were to step down one day, Kyle would be the best guy fit for the job and the program would be honored to have him.

Agreed. The guy takes an ok Western team and wins a District Title and apparently wasn't good enough for the folks of Western. Great coach and Waverly is very lucky to have him. I'm sure Travis feels the same way

I agree, I think this is his best year with what he’s done with this group. He also has a very good staff which includes bringing Kyle Miller on board. A great hire by the school board.

Kyle Miller is very good drills and practice coach. Just don't let him make the game decisions on Friday. Leave that to Travis. Kyle can make kids better for someone else to coach. A good quality to have around and makes a program better.

... well said daniC ... I have much respect for Coach Robertson and his staff - they get the most out of their kids, play the game to match the skills/athletic ability of the players ... I was more than impressed with the defensive pressure the entire TEAM plays for 32 minutes - keeping opponents in front of them full court ... the coaches have the Tigers playing fundamental defensive basketball - I'm a BIG fan of Defense - the Tigers get it done ...

It is finally Game Day! I'm sure it has been a long week for both of these teams and I know they can't wait to finally hear it's basketball:30! The fans are ready for this one as well. I know the Waverly community is really excited to make another trip down 32 and give these boys a big backing tonight. I'm sure the U fans will be out and ready for this one as well.
