I’m not saying he not a good player and it’s a long season and the eagles are playing great ball. Swingle only scored 23 if my memory is correct against the Oaks Saturday. I find it hard to believe that the bigs from Oak Hill can’t contain Miller. I’m not saying this game can’t be close but I don’t see it being within 10+ points, track meet or not. Darby, Long, and Hammond will be just fine when it comes to post defense. Hale had no problem adjusting to the convo when it comes to shooting and I believe Landon will get it going this game. Landon was face guarded most of the PV game. Oaks just too much for the Eagles and will cut the nets down for the first time since 2013. Go Oaks!
Miller is great. I believe Darby will be right there with him. I do believe EP has more scoring options than PV did. PV had two kids open a good bit for shots. One pretty much never shot and the one hit about 4 shots from the ft line. OH won’t focus on Miller like they did Swingle.
He did like that foul line jumper. Oak Hill is conditioned great so I don’t see them wearing out if it turns into a track meet. Only way I see it coming down to the wire is if Oak Hill gets in foul trouble. It’s tourney ball so I don’t see that being a issue. Turns to football at the convo more often then not. I’m all for letting them play. Good slate of games set for this weekend. Gonna try to catch all of them Saturday.

I Think folks forget, Oak Hill plays D pretty good against any one they play. They held megis to just 5 points in the second half and for the season avg. Is probably In the mid 40's. They can run or slow it down, I do think it will be a closer game then the first one, as both team has gotten better.

Everyone has talked about the bigs and no one has really talked about what these 2 teams probably do best and that's shoot the 3. As I was listening to the OH game the other night they had put up I think 18-3's after 3 quarters. Eastern likes and is very capable of hitting the 3s as well. Bottom line, unless these teams change how they do things, live by the 3 die by the 3 is going to apply to this game. Miller can be a big player inside for Eastern if he shows up aggressive and Leist is one of the quickest ball handlers I've watched this year if he can penetrate and finish that will open up the outside. This could easily turn into a track meet, but if 1 team is hitting those 3s and the other isn't this game could turn ugly fast. Eastern does a good job of halftime adjustments from what I've seen. 61-29 yeah 1st game of the year doesn't mean anything now. Think this does turn into a high scoring affair and hopefully game of the night to watch. Good Luck to both teams, I believe OH is more of a senior led team while Eastern is mostly Juniors. I think I'm going to go with the underdog as Eastern wants and turns it into an up and down game and has little more quality scoring bench depth to keep the game high paced. Good Luck to both teams it's no easy feat to find yourself this deep into the postseason.

Unless Eastern played really poorly on Saturday, I just don't see the same things that the Eastern people see. Oak Hill is a very good team. Size, speed, quickness, shooting, post scoring, etc.
Eastern is a good team and honestly better than I thought they were. Miller is a very good player. I was surprised with his skills. But to think Oak Hill’s big kids can’t defend him is crazy.
The biggest difference I see in the two teams is Team Speed. I thought Oak Hill’s speed was much greater than Eastern. At least on Saturday it looked that way. And most basketball people know team speed is a huge factor in winning. It will be interesting to see how Barrick tries to neutralize that.

It just isn't something that is in their nature regardless of who the coach is. Whether it is something they are born with or get in the east side of pike county water, they always have been and always will be a team that wants to get out and run. IMO, a wide open game is the best chance for the Eagles to pull out a victory. Good luck to the boys from Beaver and Stockdale.
I agree, the more Eastern can push the tempo the better their chances. Depth is the biggest advantage Eastern has over Oak Hill so if we can use that then we have a great chance. As far as conditioning goes we will see who's bent over and grabbing their shorts in the 4th, but I can assure you it won't be Evan Leist.

Eastern 74
Oak Hill 72

Anyone know the head to head tournament record between these two great coaches ?
