You sound like a true Vass supporter. Maybe a dad that helps him coach? New assistants can’t help that man.
No I'm not, I've never met the man, I know people that know him. I don't know what you guy's want, the man that I heard
that some people wanted hasn't applied, unless Ironton has deep pockets their not going to get the man the want.

I’m thinking the burgs last 2 coaches were first time head coaches when burg hired them. By the way both have now won state championships

Lewis-1st time Head Coach
Schmidt-longtime Burg assistant
Hall-longtime Burg assistant
Miller-Head Coach at Notre Dame before Burg

Woodward state title at Burg
Lewis Indiana state title after leaving Burg
Miller state title at Burg
Other two no state titles

I believe coach hall may have had a head coaching job before burg
Throw Jim Gill in there too, he may have been the head coach at Zane trace before returning to burg
Portsmouth should have hired him back in the mid to late 80’s a very good and underrated coach

Hearing Your Tiger Bait is taking the helm to return Ironton to it's glory days, with bringing back the triple running backs and a QB who isn't allowed to throw the ball unless it's 3rd and 25 or longer.

Maybe the decision will be made at the next board meeting. I believe it is on March 19th.

I thought it was better than that! It is time for the man to leave he has brought the program downward since he took over. Hire some coach looking for a job that has some coaching experience. It does not have to be head coach but someone that has done something on Friday night. Vass did nothing on Friday night and it shows. His lack of control of the kids also shows daily and throughout the season.

without sounding redundant. who does the ironton fighting tiger football community want as their next head coach. are there any names that can be shared who are in the selection process. what's the big secret. it's not like this is not in the news. it would seem like some candidates could be presented to root for, maybe in the ironton tribune. -------------------- personally I think it's very interesting and big news for the ironton community.

Really you don't know they want?

1. Bob Lutz
2. Mark Lutz
3. Triplet
4. Mark Snyder but I think people realized that's not gonna happen when he took a job at fsu.

well it would appear herd, that a several of these are either retired, or elsewhere employed.

If those are the top 4 choices then they better move on to #5 because #1-4 aren’t going to happen.

Vass should be thankful Ironton joined the OVC when it did or else his record would be below .500. Can you imagine what it would be like if he had to play schedules from 10-15 years ago against teams like Desales or Belfry every year? Ouch!
