it's not the greatest hit in the world but c'mon he's a QB.... also, I have heard that on a previous play there had been some trash talk about him running out of bounds and not taking a hit

Thing that gets me is that is has been noted thatPryor choose OSU because he would be a drop back passer. Looks much more like they are adjusting a spread around Pryor. Just an observation.

Terrelle Pryor ran for two touchdowns in Ohio State's win over Minnesota, a week after the freshman quarterback passed for four touchdowns against Troy.

But it was a play that didn't even count that left the Ohio Stadium crowd buzzing.

On a scramble toward the Minnesota bench midway through the fourth quarter, he dropped his right shoulder and lowered the boom on Rex Sharpe, knocking the linebacker topsy-turvy out of bounds.

A holding penalty erased the 10-yard run and kept Pryor from breaking 100 yards rushing for the day. But Pryor answered a challenge and sent a message.

"I ran out of bounds the play before (at the end of a 21-yard gain) and then a (Minnesota) coach or somebody said, 'Why don't you put your head down and run somebody over instead of running out?' " Pryor said. "So I was thinking, 'OK if I get a chance, I'm going to do it.' "

The next play, the 6-foot-6, 235-pound Pryor dropped back to pass, felt pressure and took off around left end. As he looked upfield, bearing down on him was the 6-foot-1, 226-pound Sharpe.

"I was (thinking), 'All right, this is it right here. You're saying I can't lower my shoulder. I've got to prove that,' " he said.

I don't think there was ever any intention of Pryor running a pro-style offense. It seems it was more along the lines of teaching Pryor to stand in the pocket, run through his progressions, and run as a last resort. Sure, he will carry the ball on designed runs. It would be stupid not to use his great running abilities. I just don't think he will be a Junior running the ball 15+ times a game.

Also, choosing OSU was not a single issue decision. On top of the QB development issue, OSU was his childhood favorite team. Troy Smith was his favorite player when he was in HS. He was good friends with many members of the 2008 recruiting class. He didn't want to go further than a 4-6 hour drive from home, and he wanted to play for a national title contender. Name another school, at that distance from his home, who could claim to be a legit contender program at the time of his decision. Finally, he loved Jim Tressel, the other players, and the family feel of the team.

The day after Rich Rod was hired at Michigan, I PMed Nevadabuck about the chances of Pryor going to Michigan. His response on that same day:

Zero chance. A comment from TP today, "I just love Coach T so much more than the other coaches." He might visit to please his head coach, but again, zero chance.

I've said all along that he has impressed me that even though he is a freshman he shows such leadership qualities on the team. It would be one thing if he just wanted to be a leader but it comes across to the team, and like in the photo above they respect him and listen. For whatever reason some may give for the buzz when he's on the field...media hype, whatever.....who cares ....it's there, Buckeye fans see it, feel it and are excited to watch him play and his team mates are on board. Each game becomes another step (and I'm sure there may be down days.....but maybe not ) towards the amazing career he has ahead of him....Buckeye fans are just lucky to enjoy the first steps on the ride.
Some may say I'm obsessed ...nah...but I'm sure lov'in every minute of it, especially when I go back a few pages prior to when he committed and the threads that were started and read some of the posts....it's hilarious!

I guess you guys dont remember Tebow two years ago as a frosh. Ran over the likes of Laron Landry, James Lauranitis, and numerous others. The Kentucky game was one of my favorites.
