Re: PENN STATE VS OHIO STATE
if penn. st. wins they should be in the n.c. game 2 much has to happen for o.s.u. to make it.
should be a good game.
should be a good game.
Re: PENN STATE VS OHIO STATE
If Ohio St has any chance at all they have to win. I think they wont make it either way, but you never know. (LOOK AT LAST YEAR) Keep winning and hope every one in front of you loses 1 more time. In order for us to win TP would have to have a big game. If that happens, maybe a few announcers would start to believe in us.
Re: PENN STATE VS OHIO STATE
Its going to take alot more than just a few announcers to believe in OSU.
They need to win out to have a chance. But,I think they feel OSU had a chance the last 2 years an nothing going to help them. They win out they will be at the bottom of the 1 lose teams in the rankings.
Wish it wasn't so!!!!
Go Bucks!!!!!!!!

Everyone seems to believe Penn State will roll all over Ohio State and I'm going to admit the thought is rolling in the back of my head.. but I'm staying faithful to my Buckeyes and going with a win in a very close one!!

in order for OSU to have any chance in this game the D will have to play every bit as good or even better than they did against MSU, Beanie is gonna have to have a good game also but defense is gonna be key in this matchup.

Re: PENN STATE VS OHIO STATE
The Ohio State defense will definitly need to be ready to play on saturday. The line needs to be in a nasty surly mood for us to move the ball. Id look for both Todd and TP to play in this game. TP helps spread the ball out and gives the D something else to worry about, but if we need to go strictly passing cause we are behind Id see Todd coming in. I think its going to be a close game. We have the talent to play if the right team shows up. If the team that played USC shows up we will get embarressed badly. If the team that played Michigan State shows up we win.

For those of you going to the game, be loud.
Also, since PSU joined the Big10 in 1993, not only has PSU never won in Ohio Stadium but OSU's defense has scored more TDs than PSU's offense in Columbus.
If PSU has scored double digits, it was once, and they only scored 10.
This game in Columbus has also been the host of College Gameday in 1996, 1998, 2002, 2006, and now 2008.
1996 was a 4 v. 5 matchup that OSU won 38-7, and held a 31-0 halftime lead. Cooper called off the dogs, and Michael Wiley also dropped two passes in the 2nd half where he was all alone for easy scores.
OSU has also lost one home night game in history. Texas and Vince Young in 2005. It took a Zwick/Smith QB shuffle, a dropped TD by Ryan Hamby, a late missed field goal, and the heroics of Vince Young for UT to pull it out in the final minute.

penn st will win 4 one reason. if penn st has any good coaches they can stop the runnung game by putting 8 people in the box but i agree with tiger cannon71 if we see the team that playes mich st it will be a close game. but i still take penn st for this game and the BCS Championship

Re: PENN STATE VS OHIO STATE
Penn st has looked great this year by playing defenses that had no prayer,
and turning broken tackles into big gains.
The Buckeyes won't allow the 2 yard stuffed in the middle run, to
be broken for a 25 yard gain like has happened many times this year.
It'll be a good game, but the Buckeyes will put them in their place.

Re: PENN STATE VS OHIO STATE
Did anybody watch the game last year? It's almost the same 2 teams on the field with a couple of exceptions! Ohio State has twice the talent Penn State has, and it just depends on Tressels play calling. If he uses his head and lets his athaletes play we win. If he doesn't wipe the dust off of his play sheet we will get beat and rightfully so. Bucks by 10 points because of more talent.

Re: PENN STATE VS OHIO STATE
Tressel opens the play book twice a year, Penn St and Michigan weeks.
Two reasons he did it last week are, to give PSU more to prepare for,
and to get people off his butt about the offense.
The offense was still relatively simple against MSU, but the exicutuion
was there and it made it look a lot better.

Re: PENN STATE VS OHIO STATE
This will be Penn State's first test of the season. Their schedule has been soft to date.
Yeah, I know they were behind to Michigan last week at halftime, but it was in Happy Valley. Besides, Michigan has yet to put more than 2 quarters of good football together in any game this year.
Tressel's unpredictibly unpredictable play calling last week gave Joe Pa alot to think about. If Beanie and Pryor stay free from injury, then the Buckeyes should win and will be in the drivers seat for the Big Ten title.
However, don't look for Penn State to go through the motions. Should be a good game to watch.
Buckeyes by 7.
