If this is all true(I'm sure it is, it's the internet)!!I wish the kid well . But regardless how tough or highly recommended he comes, still hard for me to fathom handing a kid with 1 year as an assistant under his belt a HC job. I do realize the IFT job ain't what it used to be, but still a head gig nonetheless...
Once this is settled, hopefully Lafon is next, if for no other reason, than his handling of this situation..

I don't think they would have called a special meeting for Tuesday evening. If the deal wasn't done.

Yes that's what it means, but there's no Bob Lutz anywhere out there now to revive them

Then no offense to Pendleton but not hiring a guy that can be in the school setting is not a good hire. Pendleton may be a great dude and coach but I’m not sure you hire a guy in this position that doesn’t have a place somewhere in the school where kids can be held accountable.

He will have to reley on the principal and the teachers to keep him informed.

Even if not a teacher he could still be around and hold kids accountable. We've all seen coaches do it before a coach not be a teacher. There has to be at some point a coach shouldn't have to hold Jimmy and Johnny's had to tell them not to do something or tell them it's ok to do something.

Gameday, don’t ignore my question, how many User ID do you have on this site and please list them. I want readers to be able to go back and read for themselves the agenda and vendetta you’ve been on for a long time and it hasn’t been for the kids!
