Otterbein Cardinals 8-0
Otterbein Cardinals 8-0
this season in Division III. They host powerhouse Mt. Union this Sat. game time 1:30. Hope the Cardinals come out with a huge upset. Former Coal Grove Hornet lineman Shayne Willis is a member of the squad. Good Luck Cards!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Otterbein Cardinals 8-0
Congrats to the Cards and congrats to a former neighbor and an old friend from way back.
Is Shayne getting any playing time?

Re: Otterbein Cardinals 8-0
The score 49-20 in favor of Mt. Union, they have a good program and were on their game today. However, the Cardinals scored more points on them today than any team so far this season. Great season for the Cards, will still make the playoffs. Fuzzhead, Shayne got hurt the first game of the season, had surgery on his knee Oct. 1, tore ACL, MCL, and muniscas (spelling), he is doing great. He is red shirted so will have 3 more years to play.
Re: Otterbein Cardinals 8-0
Glad to hear he'll be able to play after recovering. That's a tough injury(or injuries) to come back from. Heck, not too long ago it was career-ending.
Re: Otterbein Cardinals 8-0
Yes, thank goodness for modern medicine. He is in physical therapy 3 days a week. His doctor says he is doing a great job. So we are very happy with the outcome. I will let him know you were asking about him.

Re: Otterbein Cardinals 8-0
What are their names, numbers, and grade? Do they play JV or Varsity? I am sure my son knows them. He is a sophmore, but out for the year, due to an injury as the earlier post explained.

Re: Otterbein Cardinals 8-0
Shayne is home and he knows both of the young men. He said, "They are good players." I didn't miss a jv or varsity game last year, but this year I missed about 4 games, due to Shayne not playing because of his surgery. I will be on the road again next year when he plays again. The Cardinals have looked very good this years and should be going to the playoffs if they win against John-Carroll on Sat. Nov. 15.
