I was thinking the same , not a lot of d2 schools in the area , they would have to travel quite a bit to play a lot of good D2 comp , maybe need to schedule the top d3's a little more ? and I would assume that conference wont be down forever . But a lot of noise about state breaking type offensive numbers to get shut out in district semi after just 1 tourney win.

Nothing against anybody but the FAC is a very weak softball conference.

It’s a strong track and field conference and Jackson finished 6th in it.

Jackson softball loses 3 4 year starters and another that was a 3+ year starter. They have a very good freshman to be that could fill in one of those voids but may not be as strong 1-9...but Wolford will have them looking to win and favorites in FAC I imagine.

I wish Jackson the best next year, turn some of those track stars into bunt slappers.

Ironman92 if you find a few extra shot putters you might want to send them to SSU. Lancaster & Jackson both more than doubled their 20 HR out put. Just kidding  Oh by the way send a construction crew too. To move in the fences.

Putting that fence in was the hardest I have ever worked. I like them just where they are!...and anyway it’s not Jackson that needs the athletes playing softball, it’s their FAC opponents.

Coach Wolford really stirs up some VC fans for some reason. When he coached the football team they had weird issues with the grandeur flag pole and now he’s softball coach they have a weird obsession with the fence.

He didn’t put up the flag pole or the fence but still gets the hate for some reason

In favor to the Lancaster Gales and the Jackson Ironmen, no matter if the fence is 190' or 210' they put some numbers in the record book.
No matter a weak conference or a strong one that was a big feat for both teams. I know the Gales showed class in doing it and I imagine Jackson did too.

What is the old saying ? "Don't get mad, just get better".

Like I said...Jackson had a great hitting team 5 years ago and 7 different players hit home run, still only totaled 13 or 14 on the season. Hitting 50 or whatever is crazy. I’d be ticked if I was pitching slow pitch to them and they were cranking them out left and right. For some reason that is very upsetting to juicebox. I’d be impressed to hit 50 on 150 ft fence. Maybe next year the Ironladiescan have new ground rules. Blast to the parking lot of football stadium is a HR and every other HR is a ground rule double and after 3 in a game they become automatic outs.
