Re: Pendleton - New Ironton Head Football Coach
They hung a State Championship sign in Tiger Alley reading 2???.
As a former player and alumnus, this is really embarrassing.

Now that’s confidence. Lol. But with the 3 ??? on there means they are hoping to win a state title in the next 82 years or longer.
Re: Pendleton - New Ironton Head Football Coach
That banner has been there for the last couple of years. There’s nothing wrong with the banner either. It’s just stating who’s going to be NEXT. Your a TROLL and everything that WAS wrong with Ironton Sports program. It’s finally back on path from sounds of things.ELChapo wrote: Fri Jun 01, 2018 1:01 pm They hung a State Championship sign in Tiger Alley reading 2???.

Wow, sounds like Ironton fans are really pumped up over the new coach! good for them! Beep Beep! here comes a Sider!
Re: Pendleton - New Ironton Head Football Coach
Let’s say all come back aside from the boy at burg. I’m trying to find out where production comes from. QB is talented but he can’t carry the entire team, plus he will have to play defense. They have a few other strong kids but no outside threats that I can remember, plus their line is thin. I think this team is a 7-3 type team if Pendleton plays conservative. I think they are suited this year in a pro type style offense. They will be stronger this year but won’t have enough depth to go complete four quarters against deeper teams.
Re: Pendleton - New Ironton Head Football Coach
OMG give this coach a few years to turn around this sinking ship! Remember he is not the second coming of JC!
Re: Pendleton - New Ironton Head Football Coach
I believe the rule went into effect 5/15 or close to that. If a player moved schools prior to that he/she is grandfathered . But even if they move schools now and have a legit move of residence they will not sit. I believe the young man went to burg prior to 5/15 and moved as well. Correct me if I’m wrong Ibtt4th and iches wrote: Wed Jun 06, 2018 11:45 amA friend of mine from wheelersburg assured me he’s not there anymore , he said they lost 4 kids do to the new rule, a couple of them from PortsmouthYOU'RE TIGER BAIT wrote: Wed Jun 06, 2018 8:40 am4th , did he come back to ironton. I know the one who went to wheelersburg left there because of the new change where he couldn’t play the second half of the season , did any of the lineman come back and I guess then QB stayed which I have mixed feelings about
Re: Pendleton - New Ironton Head Football Coach
Well Ironton won't have the opportunity to play Burg in the playoffs if they make it, but they could have to travel really far north now.

Re: Pendleton - New Ironton Head Football Coach
Just saw on fan page where they ordered 67 new uniforms. Correct me if I’m wrong but wouldn’t that be one of the bigger Ironton teams ever???
Re: Pendleton - New Ironton Head Football Coach
They might have not been for just the varsity. It even could have been home and away uniforms.

Re: Pendleton - New Ironton Head Football Coach
I've been attacked for not agreeing with the crazy narrative we are going to the playoffs.
I want these kids to win. Coached a good amount of them in youth leagues. I just know changes take time, and it would be a miracle if they win a State title, which is somehow now expected with this new coach.
Everything I have heard about him makes me like him, so I'm of the opinion of giving him time to build.
I don't want to sound mean, but Ironton isn't winning the OVC this year. Fairland, Coal Grove, Gallia, and Rock Hill are going to be pretty good and have more pure talent than the Tigers.

Re: Pendleton - New Ironton Head Football Coach
bottom line with me is. coach Pendleton has seen more drama here than needed. I pray he doesn't take it personal from some posters who probably took other people's lunch money in school, and made fun of handicapped kids. ironton is chalked full of wonderful, fun loving, honest, hard working folks who'd give you the shirt off their own backs. anyone would want to take over a program as steeped as ironton's in tradition. I told ya'll before God already knew how this would work out, and what man he wanted at the helm to do it. and he has assembled a staff stuffed with coaching experience including coach triplett who has coached all over the country. there is not a true fan or poster on this site that will not be satisfied seeing a change for the positive come out of those hallowed locker room doors. a team with fight n desire, n a new outlook on life. everything else will fall into place. it could be anything from a disaster to a playoff run. who knows. I put my confidence in the men running the show. and know you won't see any quit in these kids. it really doesn't matter who stays or goes, or comes back. THOSE THAT STAY AND THOSE TO FOLLOW WILL BE WINNERS.
IN THE LONG GRASS BY THE WATER, SO WATCH YOUR STEP. AND LET'S GO IRONTON FIGHTING TIGERS, OHIO STATE BUCKEYES AND THE CINCINNATI BENGALS
