Ohio State vs Michigan - your thoughts....
The Buckeyes are favored by 19 but I think they may be ripe for an upset. One thing RR will do is have his players fired up for this one. This is their bowl game and a chance to take some pain out of a disappointing year. Plus, Ohio State has not impressed me at all with the ability to defend the spread.
If Michigan does not turn the ball over, they can win. They do have enough athletes out there to pull it off. They have to play 4 quarters to get the win.
I think Ohio State will win a very close game by 7.

Eh. I think it could be close too but...
Ohio, Troy, Minnesota, Purdue, Penn State, Northwestern, and Illinois all ran the spread against OSU. That is 7 of the 11 games. Only Illinois did anything when it mattered. Even still, Illinois was totally shut down in the second half and I don't see Benn and Juice on the UM roster.
Also, 5 of those teams played UM and 4 of them won.
It can be close no doubt, but it has nothing to do with OSU's ability to defend the spread IMO.
PSU's "Spread HD" was shut down and I would take the PSU guy at every spot.

It's not the spread that the Buckeyes have a problem with.
It's teams that can either run or throw on 3rd and 4-6 and
still be able to convert for a first.
It's a team that can dig down in the red zone, and score 7 instead of 3.
Michigan can't do either of these.
Florida, LSU, Last Season's Illinois, and USC can.
Penn St couldn't, but the Buckeyes made a couple of mistakes that cost them
a close game.
It's not the spread, it's the ability to convert on third and mid ranged distance.

fine me a team that don't convert on 3 and 4-6 and not win. Normally if your getting third and long you win.
Re: Ohio State vs Michigan - your thoughts....
Interesting stats from OSU's 7 games against the spread this year....
OSU 3rd down conversion rate 41% and they averaged 328 yd per game.
Their opponets 3rd down conversion rate 39% and they averaged 309 yd per game.

My thoughts-
If Terrelle Pryor comes out of the gate and plays like he has been playing, and if Beanie Wells establishes the running game from the start, then Ohio State shouldn't have too many problems. You've got to think...Michigan lost to a MAC football team in Toledo, it really makes you wonder ...
I look for the Buckeyes to roll in this one....
Ohio State 41
Michigan 7

If your thinking were we lost to a MAC school means your going to blow us out of the water automaticaly you can just keep thinking that way cause this ain't going to be a blow out, yes michigan may lost but it's not going to be a blow out. Surely not by the 19 or 20 they say in Vegas.
Re: Ohio State vs Michigan - your thoughts....
If michigan can put together a solid 4 quarters of football and play like they did against minnesota, then it should be a good game. That being said, the bucks have the home field advantage and if the defense can cause a few turn overs this one could get ugly.Let's hope it gets ugly!GO BUCKS

My thoughts.......
Well, I think this great photo from theozone.net sums up what I think.....former Ironton player Marcus Williams roars when he recovers a fumble that led to an Ohio State touchdown with a crumbled Michigan player at his feet.

Williams got to carry the ball out of the back field at the end of the game also.

Here's a photo of Marcus in the back field. A little blurry but good...

And a few of my other favorites we took at the game.

Your right, Vegas was wrong.
