A tweet from a Florida beat writer:
" Will Muschamp didn't know Weis interviewed at Kansas & on way to Gator Bowl press conference when news broke Weis hiredâ€

Re: Charlie Weis to Kansas
Weis had talked to Muschamp about the job, and Muschamp told him he'd be good for it.
But Charlie never informed Will that he was doing the interview.
Kansas went to Ocala yesterday and did the interview, and made the announcement today.
Charlie didn't tell Will that he was taking the job, Will found out when Kansas made the announcement, while Will was on his way to the Gator Bowl press conference.

Re: Charlie Weis to Kansas
OSU has offered to let Jim Bollman go to UF to help them out for the bowl game, curiously, Florida has not returned the call.

Re: Charlie Weis to Kansas
Maybe Tressel will take over for Caldwell in Indianapolis and he can hire Bollman as his coordinator. That should make it certain Andrew Luck will never be heard from again!

Re: Charlie Weis to Kansas
All Weis has to do is recruit another "Kansas Comet"(Gale Salyers) to win. Salyers is one of the top 5 running backs of all time. It will be interesting to see if Dayne Crist follows Weis to KU, Crist asked for his release this week and can transfer without penalty because he has graduated from ND and still has a year of elgibility left.

IMO, Weiss is not a head coach. He did very well at New England as OC. He did well last season as OC at Kansas City but I am not impressed with his collegiate coaching career.
Re: Charlie Weis to Kansas
Some people are good to assist but not to be the head coach. Weiss is going to basketball country. Kansas has not been the same since the basketball players and football players had a fight. Since then the wins have gone down hill. Weis will needs to get a good staff. If he wants to run the offense fine but he needs another coach to help with time outs and game management. It seemed to be to much for him at times.

Living in KC.... the KU fans (still don't know why U of Kansas is KU, but whatever) love this hire! They will not stop talking about the credibility he brings to their program!

Let's see how the KU fans feel about "Jabba the Weis" about this time next year. I don't see things getting much better for the Jayhawks, regardless of Charlie's presence.
