Is this regular season or playoffs too? I remember Ironton had a 55 game back in mid 80’ maybe 85? It ended by Portsmouth 19-10. Do you have the link for the records? I would like to see the teams on list Thanks.

Does that include the playoffs? I’m pretty sure Marion Local’s is all games, but it is also only 27.
Ironton’s was 58 between 77 and 83, which is the regular season record.

Marion Local is one of the best around. If I make a road trip to see them play do I need to buy tickets early?
Was told the whole town shuts down on game night. That's got to be fun. Wish I'd played on that team back in my day.

I would recommend buying tickets early especially if you are planning on going to the coldwater game. Either way you being an out of towner you are looking at standing round the fence. If you want to watch good football don’t just focus on the mac. I would look more at matchups. Other good games besides Marion coldwater would be Kenton wapak, Columbus grove Pandora gilboa, Delphos Jefferson spencerville, archbishop alter cj, svsm Hoban, Massillon McKinley, I can just keep going on and on. Mac is great but you would miss out on a lot of good historic Ohio teams, especially if you choose st Henry vs parkway lol not every mac game is worth watching.

Ok thanks for the info and answering my questions but I do believe Ironton was 55, where did u get 58? On a site? I played on the Portsmouth team that beat them that night and we were told it was 55, I could be wrong or we were told wrong, lol. Back then we didn’t have the info or computers like today to keep updateddanicalifornia wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 11:30 amDoes that include the playoffs? Re: Marion Local Looking To Extend Ohio's Longest Consecutive Game Winning Streak
Pretty sure this list is for regular season games. Not playoffs too. Ironton lost in the first round of the playoffs in 1980 to John Glenn. I am pretty sure wheelersburg has the longest regular season win streak in the state that is currently active. At 35 or 36 games right now. Also kirtland was really close to the ironton streak a few years ago and lost a game. However they have only lost 1 regular season game since like game 5 of the 2009 season. Which makes them like 84-1 in that time period which is as amazing as coldwaters 7 or so consecutive state title appearances. To add to this the ironton consecutive win streak was actually 62-0-3. Fromweek 5 1977 to week3 of 1984
