Re: WK1 Tri-Valley @ Logan
If The Chiefs have good strong solid and physical line play, everything else seems to be there for them to win ballgames. The staff needs to get the line on both sides of the ball playing smart, tough and following assignments flawlessly.

To quote Donald Rumsfeld, "You go to war with the army you have." Re-upped my tickets. I'll be there to see how it goes.

Re: WK1 Tri-Valley @ Logan
Anybody know if they will do the scrimmage tomorrow ? Or did they do it earlier before the storm moved in ?
Re: WK1 Tri-Valley @ Logan
They ran a couple of plays then cleared the field.

Re: WK1 Tri-Valley @ Logan
Pretty even scrimmage.
I had each team's second string scoring once and I think Logan's starters came back in and added a score at the end, but I'm not sure if it was FU's first or second team defense.
Looks like Logan will struggle in the passing game again, but also look to have a little more creativity in the run game. They ran several kids in and out at the QB spot - including starters in other positions.
Defense looked better against the passing game than last season, but they also return a good number of guys in the secondary. A little inexperienced up front on both sides of the ball, but I see some potential.
Was hard to tell who was who personnel wise. Wearing numbers but definitely not regular jersey numbers. Could tell a few kids but not all.
Look forward to seeing the Canal Jamboree on Thursday.

Re: WK1 Tri-Valley @ Logan
Was the number of QBs due to the projected starter having his hand hurt at Bloom Carroll?

Re: WK1 Tri-Valley @ Logan
Was in town this past weekend for death in wife’s family. Not hearing much about team other than no one thinks they will be any good throwing the ball and no one sees a dominating run game. Simply not much interest. No one knew much about the scrimmage and I couldn’t get away to watch. Disappointing.

I think the projected starter played most of the snaps, but I can't be 100% sure since I don't know who is wearing what number.
It looked to me like they were just trying a few other upperclassmen as change of pace options.

Re: WK1 Tri-Valley @ Logan
Spatar hurt his left hand at the Bloom practice but played most of the FU scrimmage and looked good. Beautiful TD pass and he is quick and will run as well. The word is other QB's have certain plays that you will see them in even at season time. They have 4 QB's but Spatar is the starter. But no news yet on how bad Cummin's shoulder is he injured in the FU Scrimmage.

I figured that was Spatar wearing #10. I think I know who the other QBs are as well, but easy to look silly trying to guess who all the mismatched jersey numbers are.
Didn't see Cummin got hurt. Hopefully nothing long term. This team really could use a season of good health.
