No way. During the Ohio State/Oklahoma State broadcast in 2004, the announcers were gushing over Ted Ginn Jr. and he was playing very well.
It was disgusting. I hate the exaggerations and the hyperbole BS in college football. Hate it.
Danielson is the worst. That performance the other night was the worst. Worst. His man-love and out and out politicking is just disgusting. I received 12 text messages from friends all over the country commenting about Gary Danielson and Tim Tebow.
It really is a shame because I would rather like Tebow. He seems like an ok kid and I say ok because I don't care about his beliefs.
However, Danielson makes it hard not to cheer against him. I know I need to separate the two but it is difficult.

That may be so and I can live with that....
Danielson was going much much further.....
He talked about Tebow when UF was playing defense, when they were on special teams, and during timeouts.
He actually said, "Nooo.. You can't do that. You just can't do that!!!" when Tebow threw a routine slant pass for a TD. He actually gave Tebow credit for the special teams covering a kick. He called Tebow the best short yardage back in the nation, which was followed by Tebow getting stuffed. Not to mention, UF's one loss this year came on a 4th down and inches play where Tebow was totally stuffed. The best short yardage backs pick that up as upper classmen.
Tebow is a very good college football player. I can agree with that opinion. Danielson is sickening and I honestly wish he would have a throat accident or disease so he will disappear. Seriously.

I agree. Danielson takes it a little far. But, Holy Buckeye, Musberger does it with Ohio State. He has no emotion in his voice, until he watches them.
However, Danielson was pointing out that Tebow is the clear leader of the team. Period. End of story. He was talking about when Tebow was yelling at Brandon Spikes to stop Bama and get him the ball back. Also, he referred to when Tebow ran into the coverage team screaming at them. It was kind of pathetic to a certain point, but I was paying a lot more attention to the game than I was him talking about Tebow.

45. YOU SHOULD BE DELIGHTED TO KNOW AS I TOLD YOU AT THE MALL. I DID IN FACT , PICK FLORIDA IN THIS UPSET. I JUST FELT THEY WERE THE HOTTER TEAM , AT THE MOMENT. IT HURT. BUT I DID IT.

Re: Florida v. Alabama
I have never heard Musberger say, "If Ohio State (or anyone else) isn't in it, I'm not watching." or "We cannot let that happen." - talking about UF possibly being passed over.
Also, the Holy Buckeye play was in the heat of one play from a "play by play" announcer and not from a color analyst filling in holes in between plays. Danielson was a part of that crew as well. See what he says afterward. He analyzes the game.
ABC covers all the conferences.
CBS covers the SEC but Danielson focuses on Tebow. Not even UF but Tebow.

He said Holy Buckeye more than once.

Orestes,
I know when he first said Holy Buckeye. I remember watching the game. Im simply saying he has said it plenty of times since.

I must be deaf. I have only heard it referred to as in "remember that play." I have also heard it from Herbstreit (who I do not like at all) and Danielson. Danielson has said it when referring to Krenzel being a "game managing" QB who had to make a play to keep the dream alive.
Look, I agree that UF is good, Meyer is good, and Tebow is good. Danielson sucks but used to be good before he became focused on one conference only. It would probably happen to a lot of people. I had two UF grads watching in my apartment and they were cringing and wishing Danielson would just STFU.
Steely, I know I put on a show. lol. If you had seen me it would have been even better.
