Gallia academy should be able to name the score here. Blue devils have plenty to work on and had some defensive injuries. Everything combined I say devils cruise easily but we will probably still leave there wondering how good defense is.

Injuries will determine the score but GA win big regardless.

Blue names the score. Serious question though. Did Campbell switch from RB/LB to just LB or was he less than 100%

I cant see River Valley scoring very much at all. The Blue Devils do need to clean up there defense though.

Campbell not 100% he would of played even less if not other kids hurt. Well let me change that. Campbell is probably 100% but really had no practices under his belt until like Wednesday for last 3 weeks.
But even when he is 100%. Don’t expect him to carry the rock as much as last year or less be up in the backfield that often. They would like to get her m the ball in space a little more and hold down the wear and tear on hima little bit.
Picture her m getting bubble screens and pitch plays instead of right up the gut. As long as pullins can take care of the other. Campbell is a dual threat speed and power pullins more just power. Expect him to do the most of the dirty work.
That was the plan last year and it didn’t work out so you never know. But that is part of reason defense was so passive. They really didn’t have Campbell turned loose yet as far as his blitzes and really letting her m freelance.
Now with 3 defensive lineman probably out this week. I think you will have some more passive defense if the backups aren’t ready to go yet.

I'll release my prediction. Devils 48 Raiders 12. Look to see more Operation Ground and Pound from GA. McClelland is a good QB, but passing won't be essential to success this week. Keep focused, get the big win. Here's to an injury-free game on both sides.

Gallia will win by as many points as Coach Penrod and his sunglasses wearing staff want.

Injuries have been key already with these 2 teams, and we are only in Week 2. RV played Coal Grove without their starting RB and most of the game without their starting QB. Junior RB Cole Young will be back for the Raiders this week, after missing last week with an illness. It will be nice to have him back on the field! Good luck to the Raiders! Hope for an injury free ballgame!

I couldn't agree more. Really like the look this years coaching staff has. Between Call and Warnimont, they define what intimidation looks like. As long as the boys learn from their example, no team should be able to phase the boys in blue!

Watched a bit of the Blue Devil practice last night. I was nervous about the new formations they were running, but the execution was excellent. RV will not know what hit them.

The history of this match-up began in 1992 when RV was formed. They played from 92-01, did not play from 02-14, and then picked back up the series starting in 2015. 2018 is the 14th match-up between the Gallia County schools.
