West 21 Coal Grove 14

Post by 2trap_4ever »

Going to be a tough game for the Grove. Cannot start slow like we did against Valley.

Thoughts.

I'll take West in this probably about like last year. Especially on grass, they seem to play better on grass.

I believe the upset would be CG winning

Not really sure who would call that an upset lol.

But besides that I see another hard nose , hard hitting football game . West pulls it out late in the 3rd quarter winning 36-12

This is the toughest regular season game Coal Grove will play this year. It seems like it’s hard for Coal Grove to get in a rhythm early. The defense looked good in the second half against Valley, kept getting big turnovers. Hopefully we play 4 quarters and make this a competitive game.

Agreed! We have a smaller, younger team on the line than we normally have, but so much talent. This will be a very good game if they choose to come out in the beginning like they have been after half time!

Should be a physical, hard fought game. Don't know to much about Coal Grove this year, but they normally are a big, physical team. However I think West will be to much for them.

Watch for weather to play a factor on Friday. Could be a sloppy field for both teams to run on.

West will be able to handle this team physically without a doubt just by seeing how the defensive played last week against Portsmouth holding Parker to only 24 yards. I’ll take west pulling away with a 28-7 win over CG.

The field at West usually holds up pretty good.

Yeah I watched film of that game. West held Parker to so little yards because they hit him every time he got the ball. I think Cg will be able to take take more hits them Parker was able to take, but Cg will have to play good from start to finish. We can’t expect to come back from 20 each week. If we get down by a lot this week there won’t be a comeback.

West held Parker to so little yards because they hit him every time he got the ball. Yep, that called good coaching. It certainly worked this game.

Should be a good game to watch. Both teams are coached well and will play hard. Going with the SOC in this one. West 32-20.

Yes west is coached very well! Coal Grove has a good coach as well. If Cg comes out and plays good form start to finish should be a good one! Last year this is the game that got Cg going after getting beat. Hoping this year we don’t have to take a loss to get our attention! What’s the weather supposed to be like?
