Several of the West kids that played in that game are still there. They started and bunch of sophomores that year.

Didn't West beat CG on their field last year? Something like 28 to 6 if I remember correctly.
Re: Wk 2: Coal Grove (2-0) @ Ports. West (2-0)
Yes, they definitely out played us last year. I think the point of asking about us winning two years ago on their field is just simply CG's disadvantage on a grass field, especially if it rains.Jolly(senator wrote: ↑Fri Sep 07, 2018 10:29 amDidn't West beat CG on their field last year? CG has practiced on grass this week and will be just fine. Our passing game will kill Portsmouth, and our offense will be unstoppable. Coal Grove takes the win by 2 TD's . I'm going with 27-12 CG because we are suppose to get some bad weather. I'll be ringing that Bell proudly and I'm ready for the WIN!! #GOBIGGROVE #ROLLCOAL #STINGEM

HAHAHA!!!! That is a funny joke there. One week of practicing on grass isn't going to change the fact that you practice on turf for their whole high school career. West has practiced on nothing but grass their whole life. Not to mention that it is supposed to rain which gives west another advantage. The only bell that's going to be ringing is when west is running off the field after their victory to ring that bell under the scoreboard.#1BELLLADY@CG wrote: ↑Fri Sep 07, 2018 11:13 am CG has practiced on grass this week and will be just fine. Oh I'm sure they're very ready, but Coal Grove hasn't forgot that loss at home last year and we are gonna give them that same feeling when we pull out!

West hasn't forgot what they done last season either gave CG their first loss. It's gonna happen again tonight.#1BELLLADY@CG wrote: ↑Fri Sep 07, 2018 12:26 pm Oh I'm sure they're very ready, but Coal Grove hasn't forgot that loss at home last year and we are gonna give them that same feeling when we pull out!

Excited for Game Time.
Looking forward to a well played game. Not sure there are any two programs that have a better reputation for playing rough hard nosed aggressive football playing each other tonight. Both schools always give effort that makes their communities proud win or lose.
Weather aside I see CG getting revenge for last year edging West 14-7 winning with defense.

Re: Wk 2: Coal Grove (2-0) @ Ports. West (2-0)
I’ve heard a lot of the years that coal grove is the West of Lawrence county. Take a lot of pride in playing a physical brand of football, with a tough and proud fan base on both sides . I expect nothing less tonight. I’m going 21-7 west . PW defense still doesn’t give up over a 100 Yard’s but they will get scored on for the first time I believe.CGFAN#1 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 07, 2018 1:57 pm Excited for Game Time.

0-0 at halftime.
Coal Grove missed a field goal to end the half.
