Re: Week 3 player of the week nominations
Question If you put up big numbers against very weak teams vs players that put up half those numbers against strong teams. who do you pick. I pick up a player that plays against very strong teams and get 100 yards or does all the little things that add up in overall performance. Fisher kid played a heck of a ball game in a tightly played game, so Fisher from Fort Frye.
Re: Week 3 player of the week nominations
Idk bout fisher pick personally. Half his yards were on one carry. If he wins I wouldn’t be upset he played a good ball game but I’d say Stephens was best player on the field that night all around. I already posted defensive stats and didn’t even include the 192 yards passing.

I agree that was a big play. No arguement from me and if this was play of the week then that’s no doubt one of the best of the week, but player of the week is another thing that young man deserves all the credit and accolades that come with it, but I’m just giving my opinion and the “player of that game” again in my opinion was Stephens.

Re: Week 3 player of the week nominations
And when you have a TEAM like Waverly who spreads it around offensively you don’t have one or even two guys with monster stats. I don’t have the overall season stats but its spread out quite nicely.
Shoemaker probably had the better “individual” stats this past week against Unioto with around 150 yds and 3 TD’s. Then throw in his defensive play at corner and he’d be considered.

Re: Week 3 player of the week nominations
Jmar had 180 or so yards and a td against waverly. They played cover zero in the second half with everyone in the box. 2 fumbles hurt and his lack of conditioning made him have to sit on defense and sub out on offense it they rarely stopped him and everyone with a pulse knew he was getting it

Josh Taylor QB Western Brown
408 yards passing with 4 TD
148 yards rushing and 2 TD
He may be out of the area for this but I can’t imagine anyone having a better week

Jamarcus Carroll, Unioto.
21 carries for 228 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also threw for a touchdown as well.
I know he played more D this week, but I don’t have his numbers on that side.
On the year, he has rushed for 773 yards and 10 touchdowns. The junior is having an outstanding season.
