Heisman Trophy Candidates Announced!

Post by OakHillOaks »

Archie Griffin was just on ESPN and he announced all of the candidates.

Colt McCoy- Texas
Sam Bradford- Oklahoma
Tim Tebow- Florida

Lets get everyone's opinions on who it should go to..

By the way Graham Harrell didn't even get picked as a candidate. CRAZY!

I don't like his team, but if anyone is ever going to join Archie in the
2 heisman club, then I wouldn't have a problem with Tebow being the one that does it.

He is a football player, not just a QB. He is also a good individual in the classroom and off
the field.

Hate the media circus that surrounds him at nearly all times, and I wish he would
take less time talking to anyone with a mic, but overall he's deserving.

I say McCoy wins it as a consolation prize for his team getting shafted by the BCS! 8)

Tebow, he won last year and has done everything he can do to get UF back to the championship game. TT is a winner and IMO, the best COLLEGE player in the game.

IMO the Big 12 vote will split, the south will vote as a block for Tebow. The winner will be determined by the east and west vote.

After Bradfords team has put up 60+ in what like 5 straight weeks I think he is the shoe in to win.

He threw 4 fewer interceptions, 82 fewer pass attempts, and 56 fewer sushing attempts. How would you expect him to have better numbers this season??? He was a better quarterback this year though. What did you expect him to do this season? 40 passing TD's and 30 rushing TD's? LOL Just wondering.......

I vote Tebow.

I was listening to 850 The Buzz in Durham today, and they had the offensive coordinator of the Panthers. The question was asked about who they would take if given the chance at one of the Heisman candidates, Tebow was the easy answer.

There was a question to the tune of can he play QB at the next level? Response: If anyone knows anything about football, they would know this kid is a great player. He has the arm strength, the accuracy, the ability to pick you apart and to escape the pocket. He can make all of the throws and he is a freak athlete.

He was asked about his running style and if he could hold up? Response: There has never been a player at his position with his type of ability. Sure there have been Cunninghams, McNab's, Vick, and Young's, but this guy is not just speed. He is compact, built like a linebacker, strong, explosive, and extremly tough. He will have to learn to get to the sidelines more, and to slide, but linebackers will learn that he will not go down easy.

If I had a ballot, it would be:

1. Tebow
2. McCoy
3. Bradford

Unfortunately, IMO, it will look like:

1. Bradford
2. Tebow
3. McCoy

Hey hes SuperTebow the man wears an ST under his uniform. He leaps defenders with a single bound. 400lb DT bounce of him like little kids bouncing on a trampoline. Plus he is holier than the Pope and Mother Teresa put together. Of course he should put bigger numbers this year. You either get better or get worse and clearly he has gotten worse and does not deserve the Heisman.

I would have to agree about Archie Griffin. He's well deserving of being a 2-time heisman trophy winner but I don't think Tebow is
